Edited by: microwave on 26/07/2005 17:58:13 I was in Burn Eden long before the smack talkers arrived, so I will leave it at that.
What I do find funny is that people ridacule setups of small corps that fight againts terrible odds. If someone was fighting 5-1 or 10-1 odds does it make sense to show up with the same setups? If you are outnumbered you would be stupid to engage without a way of defending yourself.
You can say whatever you will about the smack talking, I will agree with you there but that setup in its day killed many, many ships terribley outnumbered.
The Raven is a great ship. Skills are important.

So yes, fitting to counter a close range cruiser as the stabber will = win. That doesn't make the ship usless for piracy though. Piracy isn't pvp where you have to focus on real pvp tactics that the opponent might have. Well on the same hand you shouldn't under estimate your opponent. So again why is the stabber good? Because it brings speed, agility, and damage output to the table. Where most cruisers don't...
I use to stand by the Claw as the ultimate piracy ship for belt piracy. Now the Jaguar is my first choice. It's not always about the fastest speed or the best damage output. It's about the stock abilites of the ships and the most utility. Jaguar has good stock tankage, good speed, and 3 mid slots. So would I bring a Claw in a mining op that has some defense? No, drones would maul me. Jaguar on the other hand, be able to tank stock and still complete the task.
Horriable Mods + Dumb Pilots + 20 People = Forsaken Empire Setup. *cheers for Burn Eden*
Me fitting a webber is to make sure that the person stay at place, not to counter any specific ship tbh. Be it a shuttle or bs, i still use my webby on them. Webbed target = will stay at ure desired range = more dmg to target = easier to kill/ransom or what u now desire to do

No offense meant to anybody, but plenty of us manage the odds just fine without using wcs. _______________________________________________________

In all the fights I've ever faught in a raven, I can honestly say that if I had dmg mods instead of stabs I would have killed 1 more batlteship and would have died about 4 more times. ----------------------------------------- wts all new "burberry" warp core stab II's |

Which is probably why people are frustrated at you guys. Most of us have been there, trying to hunt down a small, elusive team of pirates without pinning them down.
Of course, that's not the real reason why everyone is pouring all this hate onto BE's posts on the forum. That's more about the whole attitude thing (which has been improving, lately...whatever happened to FragM?). ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

I wouldn't fight fair. Not like anyone else does in EVE anymore anyways. It's all about the size and not so much about the skill. Think that's why I've given up trying to fly in 0.0. Might as well strap WCS's on, or some fruits are going to pillage me 5 on 1. Then actually brag about it. Prob even worse, fraps it and call it a day. So to Burn Eden, I don't know you to well. I've faught against some of your members. I understand why you would :)

You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. We welcome open hatred and do our best to make as many enemies as possible. Frag's account is banned, I won't go into that, suffice to say he will make a return one day. In the mean time, I'm doing my best to stir up trouble, but I'm on vacation so its prooving a little difficult. Furthermore, Stetu, or Stetu Smacker as he was more commonly known have been converted to WoW . Hopefully one day he will return too. The rest of the crew has been causing trouble up north under a different corp name so ppl will actually fight us. I'm afraid we are a vicitim of our own success. Everyone hates us, and everyone says we suck, yet everyone also agrees that there is nobody in this game the would want to fight less than us.
Anyway, my point is that the ew raven is the best pirate ship. No carebear has ever even locked me, let alone shoot at me. No other ship enjoys this beauty with the ability to defeat a well tanked apoc. Remember, the most devestating ability of the Raven is to choose the type of damage you do. Good luck fighting npcers in Stain/Querious if your in an amarr ship.
Damage mods don't do you any good when 4 gankageddons are shooting you close range, stabs do. The ability to choose damage type is a far greater benefit than having 5 caldari navy ballistic controls. At the end of the day, we smack you cause we beat you, we beat you cause we are better than you - statement applies to most of Eve. ----------------------------------------- wts all new "burberry" warp core stab II's |

if your belt pirating, go for a taranis with tech 2 blasters. Can rip through battlecruisers solo pretty easily, and cruisers just drop like flies -------- wannabe gangsta |

I didn't suggest that they should. Engage reading comprehension before using forums, please.
In essence, I just pointed out that the only thing people like less than a sore loser is a smart-ass. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

I flew with you guys and I wasnt impressed either but no offense :)~ To each there own. And on top of that I would guarantee you guys have lost more ships. Simple answer is if you are outnumbered and need to get away you can.

The only reason people bring overwhelming odds to fight Burn eden is because they need that amount of people to actually hold one down...
