Oh noes Dial911 is deriding us again
Quote: Again, who cares, all you ever do is talk on the boards, you don't DO anything in the game per se, so I could care quite a bit less what you say or think or what your opinions may or may not be.
Lets talk turkey then mr 911.
Well I'm a better combat pilot than you 911 for starters, I have tonnes more experience and a history and will fight you 1v1 any time you fancy mate.
My corp is richer than yours and people have heard of us.
We've started more wars and have about 100x the style of you guys. We've got the courage to stand alone and do whats right whereas you hide behind the ranks of an alliance.
I get to buy my Deimos, Enyo and Taranis for pocket change from one of the most successful industrialists in the cluster and shoot badguys alongside some of the nicest people out there.
Now from where I'm sitting little boy that actually all sounds pretty good. So my advise for an employee of "the spanish inquisition" corp would be don't throw stones when you live in the most fragile class house imaginable.
Quote: For an alliance that claims nothing, you sure do stick your nose in where it isn't welcome on a regular basis. Also, I'd check for a spy in your ranks, one of your members keeps sending me pos locations. Thanks for the info mysterious stranger! I threw it away because I didn't care, but kudos to you on your attempt at corporate espionage :)
We're not an alliance mr smarts ... we're just a corp. And if you take a moment to read the thread you'll see it does concern us because we are basically saying that the PA are not worthy of friendship and Xelas are. As for the spying thing please who cares? Unless you have a way to steal the ships from my hanger I don't give a damn. Information wants to be free.

you know actually a Tempest is worth using to take out a Diemos most of the time. Diemos insurance doesn't pay jack where as the Tempest pays out nicely. Even at build cost (those tech 2 build parts just keep rising) after insurance payout the Tempest pilot is usually doing better, hence why I usually donÆt fly my Vaggy around much.
But it is hard to say with out knowing exactly how much time (opportunity cost is very important) and isk went into both ships. But then maybe IÆm just a lame ass carebear who sees win/lose as merely isk values.
I have been poked for not considering the detriment of moral and such, and boy does it have to burn when the people say ôYou Jericho suck and canÆt do anything!!!ö and then boom they start to lose ships. It is just so funny.

Edited by: Atandros on 27/07/2005 19:07:53 Well, Deimoses are 55M internally, so losing one is 43M for us with insurance and all. Pretty comparable to a Tempest (especially when you factor in the nice T2 1400mms, tracking comps and gyros Wargod had).

Mmm, I'm a complete novice with these new-fangled assault cruisers myself. I'd only owned that one for less than a day but opted to try it out on the advise of corpmates. I was a little surprised just how fragile it actually was. Wargod's tempest managed to put my ship into structure in the first Volley with a combination of drones and tech2 1400 rounds against my MWD approach to tackle.
Of course I'm much too reckless to actually run away so held on a close range for another minute to make sure he was properly dead before his berserker drones did for me
But your dead right Tomahawk, the morale issue is pretty big and guys like the PA open themselves right up to ridicule when they come out of the paddock with boasts and jibes like "Jericho never fight/mean nothing" etc etc. Really they set the bar of achievement so low for us its impossible not to prove the bad guys liars and idiots with one afternoon's fighting
On the raw economics I think you have point also. HAC's are expensive but lets face it, we can keep replacing them till the milkable omnivores come home so its actually more strategically important to remove a target from his or her ship than to preserve our own at all costs. And its satisfying to see a tech2 equipped battleship blow and full respect for the target for actually going down fighting rather than running and safespotting and whatnot.

I miss the old NVA/PA days, the pirates the death tolls the big red dot wars. One thing was said about the North regions that is true "it is cursed". PA will never know peace, the death tolls will never stop and the crys of the dead will never be heard. The regions of the North was born in blood and it will always be that way!

For the love of god, make him stop.....
Anyway, hopefully we can get down to the business at hand. Bring your ships, guns, ammo, alcohol of choice and manners.
Please ignore the idiots that may attempt to speak for us. The PA as a whole are good people, just like many other alliances and corps but we do have some bad seeds as well.
Now onto the killing, hope you got a new pod.
And if anyone says JF don't fight, we got a nice little skirmish today. So say what you want as long as you give them recognition for that.

War declaration system. Works well in empire. Try it. We've done so quite a few times lately, and we're not afraid of you. We're still waiting for the "fiscal annihilation" we were promised by PA a year ago...
Originally by: Gafton the only thing you can provide is supplies. It would make sense to not post that such transactions are taking place to avoid being targeted by the hostile corporations
...unless we want it to be known. If you don't want to know anything, feel free to exercise your right to abstain from perusing our public relations materiel. (In other words: stop browsing around GalNet so much when you should be out fighting?)
Originally by: Gafton One would only post such meaningless crap if one were in want of attention.
I love it when people post stuff like that after making tonnes of nonsensical posts tryring to tell people that they're of no consequence. How much time have you spent on us now? Are you ditching your warfighting duties in a quest for attention on this public forum?
Yeah, you got us -so- pwnd right there...
Originally by: Mortus Oh good lord, thank you.
I have been waiting for this day since they withdrew from GNW.
Withdrew? Yeah, right. Jericho was in active war with the PA until all the goals set at the initiation of hostilities had been achieved. Counting on the objectives set, we won. We got what we wanted. Too bad for you.

This is the most pathetic thing I've read on the EVE forums in a long, long, long time. And considering some of the other stuff in the alliance forums, that's about as close to rock bottom you can get.
IMO anyone in EVE can make an argument, state a claim, present a hypothesis, denounce a wrong, whatever.
But this is just weak. Immature, irrelevant, irrational and weak. ------ I generally assume the following: 1. 95% of Empire Carebears don't get 0.0 PVPers. 2. 95% of 0.0 PVPers don't get Empire Carebears. 3. 100% of Ore Thieves steal just to upset the Miners. |
