What would you want to see in it?
Myself, I would want to see a whole bunch of those generic mmo guys fighting on the ground doing pvp. Then have them all rezzing and saying good game, and lets be friends. (orcs, humans, elves, tanks, tf2 ripoffs etc)
Then a guy with a shoulder patch with a patch on his arm walks in and says lets be friends and gives them a large piece of payer that says love letter. As they open it, it turns out to say we love you so much you just became our special friends, with a large picture of a bullseye below it.
Proceed to see a target painter from orbit and then a........ (insert dread or titan here) nuke the site from orbit and all the dust guys come in and steal their gear.
This isnt your normal mmo and this isnt your normal pvp. EvE online where it is all or nothing!
Im sure the catch phrase could be better. Still would be fun to watch.

WELL HELL. CCP My challenge to you is, look at this topic and the ideas and make a contest out of this. You guys vote on it and make a short trailer of the idea. What say you CCP and eve community? |

Even if this wasn't a hypothetical thread (it is, fool) the super bowl is still the most watched event on the planet. It generates more revenue than most countries, where people don't care about the sport. So CCP would be making a good business move by buying ad time on it. In fact, if they didn't make a DUST ad for the superbowl, I'd question their sanity. You may not get as much of the PC market doing it, but the console gamers would eat it up. |

Abrazzar if i may run with your idea and expand on it.
Maybe not an egg but a football being thrown at night and you see it in the night sky, then it slowly turns into a pod then you see the pod flying in space, but then suddenly you see a laser just blow a giant hole in it.
Quickly following the laser you see it strike a *rolls dice* a Gila tearing a hole into the armor. then pan out to a battle scene.
Generic eve online comment. Just like the super bowl, there is always a winner there is always a loser. |

For those who don't know what the super bowl is. It's the final game of American football to see who are that seasons ultimate team. On average it brings in several billions of dollars in food sales alone and is watched by roughly 90 million people each year. |

At the moment though, I don't think anyone could say for sure what that message would be for EVE.

Are you serious? A Gila. A GILA! Why not just put a Celetis or a Griffin instead, just put all the ugly ships, nobody cares about the cool looking ships like Abaddon's or Scorpions

Super Bowl commercials are suppose to be about boobs, beer, or are comical(a mix of the 3 is win). So placing a Sci-Fi based MMO commercial would just be out of place and laughable by the general demographic. Now having Eve related commercials on Sci-Fi channel or Science Channel would make sense.
Also don't be mad that us Americans took your game, changed its name, then created a different game and used the same name. Its what we do. Same with the metric system. |
