Edited by: Kopf on 05/08/2005 17:30:23 I run two clients at once, but I have to run them stacked on top of each other because when I let one or both display partially or fully on my second monitor everything lags like mad, even cursor movement. My monitors are mixed sizes though I didn't think that would matter. Primary is 19" LCD, secondary is 17" CRT. Anyone know of a fix for this problem? Any information greatly appreciated. Btw, gfx card is a ATI All-in-wonder 9600 128mb.

One thing to try is this. Start client one, go to windows monitor setup and change primay screen to the second screen. Start client two. It should now start up on screen 2 with no lag.
Reason you get lag is that only the screen you first start up the game on get hardware acced. If you move it to another screen it will all be done in software.

Hoshi,
Have you any idea how to generally enable this without switching the primary display? I just tested it with a 6800GT and it works as well.

Well it should be possible to setup your pref.ini so the game uses your secondary screen but I haven't succeded.
Another possible solution might be to use "span" instead of dualview. That should acc both screens at the same time.

I did some tests and its possible to achieve the same without altering windows primary display.
In the graphics menu you can choose the display adapter. Unfortunetly with just one gfx card you see the gfx card name twice. When you select the second one (even it is already highlighted you have to select it. I guess the highlighting is a bug because of the same name) your eve client gets the 3d hardware on the second display. You can also alter the display while playing and then you have to move the window into the other display.
Also the eve client remembers the last display you set and so when starting the eve client you have to move them to the right display (because they usually open on the default display)
I am using a 6800GT with the 77.72 WHQL with two display's LCD 1600x1200 via DVI and 1280x1024 via analog as Dualview.
