Atm im missioning with friends in a rail ferox, was planning to go for Rokh, but read info that Rokh is a totall dead end. I have Minmattar ship skils too. I really like railguns and Rokh, but now i just dont know what to do. Go for Rokh which i like or stick with Minmatars. |

Of course you go with what you like. Always fly what you like, thought this was kind of obvious in a game.

I agree with you in this one.
Roime wrote:thought this was kind of obvious in a game.
Not that obvious in this game, specially if you start to hear most of the advices of other players people talking about isk/hour ratio, efficiency and some forget this is just a game.
If you like the Rokh go for it or whatever ship you want. Sometimes you'll love it, sometimes you'll be pissed off and hate your beloved ship ... That's the way things are, here and real life ... |

Thats what im talking about. I just started to play again and cant see how much difference there is later, for example bertween Minmatar BS and Rokh. Maybe i just want to hear advice from players who use Rokh for missioning etc. |

I assume that your thinking in terms of isk/hr and that your thinking that the racial BS is a step stone towards pirate BS. The decision you need to make is, "Do you want to end up in a macherial or a vindicator?" shrug If you want the mission flexibility then stay mini and get large T2 projectiles for the mach. If your going to do low/nul anoms the vindicator can push VERY high isk/hr so go for blasters. Im not a big fan of rails myself (low dps and no dmg selection) where as with large blasters you can get a workable engagement range from the rokh and antimatter. |

Im not kinda that person who is looking for THE BEST isk/hr. I like to play with style and looks like rokh fits the best. It's just i was reading a lot of information about Rokh and it was not very positive. I just want to know if its really so bad, or difference is not so big. Because its no matter for me if there is +/_ some isk/h. |

The Rokh is a fine ship. Getting large hybrid skills also opens up the Naga, which can easily earn you 100m/hour in 0.0 running Forsaken Hubs. |

I used a Rokh for missions a while a go and yes it lacks dps, I ended up in a Rattlesnake once I got good skills for it (not saying yo do the same, although is a good looking mission beast).
There are better ships to run missions in. |

As the OP is most worried about play style, were all getting off into the weeds. From the reply it seems you want something in the way of a mission sniper setup? If that is the case then the rail rokh makes perfect sense and is a fine choice. DPS from tue rokh will exceed that of the mini equivalent (arti mael) by a long measure. However, the alpha will be much lower. Additionally the rokh is much more cap dependant as well as slower.
Looking strictly at missions, snipers are viable but will struggle in missions that have acceleration gates and close spawns to where you land. The rokh's higher rate of fire will help there but the mael's higher speed and better drone bay will give you better means to deal with smaller targets.
At the end of the day, if the flight and fight style is what is important to you, ignore the voices of the min/max folks and enjoy the snowflake that you enjoy playing. |

i prefer mael cause the flexibility to choose damage type and it's not bad looking ship
but if you love railguns and rokh then you already have the answer what's the best for you |

Get a mael. You can get a rokh and find out you hate it later, once you have more SP and isk. Standings Improvement Service https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19454 |

The Micro Jump Drive made the Rokh a much better ship to run missions, there are better ships in the way o isk an hour, but it will do the jub just fine. |

how about tempest fleet issue if mael is too mainstream? in BS lv 5 it lose 0.5 turret against mael but you can fit the tempest fleet issue for armor or shield as you want. so it gives you more option of gameplay. plus the price is not that much different too |

It will be so bad. That's why you should get something useable first, Rokh after, not the reverse.
If you get Rokh first, it will be the reverse. You'll still end up with the same end result, but with a lot more headaches in the process. Standings Improvement Service https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=19454 |
