In my opinion, there's plenty of room for variation within existing ship sizes, no need to add more. Why are you quoting me I never said I wanted a new ship class? I said I thought the Rookie Ships should be renamed Corvette but if CCP gives it to a new Ship type I would not complain. By the way the purpose a ship smaller then a Frigate serves would be a Rookie Ship, hint, hint.

If you were to defeat the minotaur, CCP Guard (and no one ever has), you would have access to Tuxford's Red Button which lets you nerf everything everyone else is flying, and buff everything you fly. How is that too cold? -12 is not as bad as the -30 that russia gets sometimes :s

Throw us a bone Fozzie, is the introduction of a new ship class even remotely being considered? (I know it's unlikely, it's just wishful thinking, but hey you never know until you ask right?) To carve a successful niche for yourself in EVE you need to be able to out sell, out produce, out fight,-á out run, or out wit your competitors. If you can do none of the above, your only option is to complain on the forums that somehow you are at a disadvantage using the exact same tool set-áas the rest of the player base.
