Edited by: Gungankllr on 21/08/2005 11:45:40 Been an interesting week.
BoB and G/IMP/FA have really been back and forth over the last week from NOL all the way to 4C and back again to YZ.
G/IMP/FA and the Damage folks have been able to put out some great fights thus far, I've had more fun in the last week than in the last two years of playing.
Of special note I'd like to Award the "Massive Brass Balls" award to Stradavarious of Damage, warping into 10 ship gatecamps and station camps for hours. Whoever that is in the Covert Ops ship setting up your warp-ins should get a medal.
No matter who says what in the rest of this thread after I hit the enter key, the fighting has been back and forth all week.
Different timezones equals different amounts of forces being fielded. The back and forth small-unit actions over the last week have been awesome.
I'm looking forward to week two.
See you guys in space.
Edit: Added Xelas to the forum title, didn't want you guys feeling left out.

You'll find that difficult if you can't/won't engage us despite outnumbering us 3-1.
Or are you planning on bringing a fifth or sixth alliance to help move our bunch of lil' corps out?

I don't mean to flame here, but this lil' corps stuff is stupid. You are a highly active and PvP focused alliance, not to mention Xelas, DIE, and TRS, and im sure there are others, so lets stop those boasts please. -------------------------------------------------------- Edoo - TPDT Recruitment Manager, PA Diplomat

We gank IMP while the whole IMP fleet, which atleast outnumbers us 2:1(or 3:1, 4:1 and even 5:1) sits at deepspace safespots.

Boasts?
I don't think you can deny we (BoB) are up against many more people here, and it will be 'hard' for us the upcoming months. I make no illusions about that - but that is what we chose to do ! |

You are not as small as you make out to be and you have no shortage of allies either. Don't see why you're all getting worked up over IMP blobbing to defend their space.

It is good to hear that some people are having fun in this war.
Personally I was thinking of naming this war ôthe Great Boring Warö.
It should be said that I have mostly been based in 4C, and my view is therefore only limited to that system.
It is properly perfectly fine and valid strategy to be sitting all the online time in either safe sports or in a POS and waiting for info on a easy target which can then be ganged à but well at least to me it seems boring and it will hopefully not make any fleet commander proud to have to run this kind of defensive or aggressive campaign.

We're not "worked up" about them blobbing to defend their space, it's just pathetic sitting in local outnumbered 3-1, 4-1 and IMP just sit in their SS's... They're not defending anything... unless there are some hidden belts I don't know about.

Hmm, you must be pretty unlucky then because I was part of 3 fleet battles yesterday.
Either way, if you are bored then I am sure that there are agent missions you can do in Empire.
We're going to be here for a long time so better get used to it ;)
Oh yeah... and as a fleet commander there is nothing that makes me prouder than my guys attacking double or treble our numbers, getting mass kills then leaving without a BS loss. Maybe that's just me :p

i dont see the problem here. you chose to come to outer ring and you chose to do battle with warping in at 200k from your pos to a covert and gank one ship and then warp back to the pos a pad yourself on the back. why are you crying about numbers? and i definetly do not see why we should line up all nice and dandy for a daily 200k gank. no point in it. if you are bored then perhaps you should remove yourself from our space and go mine some veldspar in another region.
and have a nice day.

Maybe you are right and I am just unlucky, but I was online for what I considered a good time yesterday (1900 - 0030), I was a part of the IMP fleet in that area and the action I saw I will never call a fleet battle.
But I would believe that is properly just due to different views between people on what a fleet battle is, and what is just snipping some frigs and ganging.

Ok, try and read this time please:
We're NOT crying about numbers.
We're NOT bored.
We DO have to gank lone targets because you seem incapable of putting up an organised defence
We ARE laughing at the fact that we have a force considerably bigger than ours running around with its tail betwen its legs.

I remember fighting Strad one day in Luminaire. He was in a tempest being boosted by a scorp warping onto a covert ship. All 3 accounts were his :o was quite impressive to watch...before warping out when faced with a tempest 200+km away

You are comparing apples to oranges. The Imp gang could very well say the same. The atuk gang too and the G gang aswell.

I have the perfect solution for IMPs problems. Remove the POS so that BoB can't hide in there anymore, then hunt them all down and chase them back to fountain.
I mean with the numbers you have that should not be a problem. So in stead of complaining, do something about it all.

Vertigo is having alot of fun so far, as we've been waiting to be the attackers on our "home soil" that many of us know like the back of our hands. We've been very successful too up to this point. It is nice to see that BoB is overextended as people have predicted, seeing as how they let us take the NOL station down to 50% shields from a ragtag "hey come help shoot this" group (BoB did come and whoop our butts, but we killed more than what it shows some of the boys up in 4c are able to kill in a stand up engagement - Angelhunter can tackle something fierce).
Fleet baaaaaad, guerilla goooooood.
And yes, Strad has brass balls the size of Texas.
