BoB and G/IMP/FA have really been back and forth over the last week from NOL all the way to 4C and back again to YZ. G/IMP/FA and the Damage folks have been able to put out some great fights thus far, I've had more fun in the last week than in the last two years of playing. Of special note I'd like to Award the "Massive Brass Balls" award to Stradavarious of Damage, warping into 10 ship gatecamps and station camps for hours. Whoever that is in the Covert Ops ship setting up your warp-ins should get a medal. No matter who says what in the rest of this thread after I hit the enter key, the fighting has been back and forth all week. Different timezones equals different amounts of forces being fielded. The back and forth small-unit actions over the last week have been awesome. I'm looking forward to week two. See you guys in space. Edit: Added Xelas to the forum title, didn't want you guys feeling left out.

It should be said that I have mostly been based in 4C, and my view is therefore only limited to that system. It is properly perfectly fine and valid strategy to be sitting all the online time in either safe sports or in a POS and waiting for info on a easy target which can then be ganged à but well at least to me it seems boring and it will hopefully not make any fleet commander proud to have to run this kind of defensive or aggressive campaign. -Glad

We've been very successful too up to this point. It is nice to see that BoB is overextended as people have predicted, seeing as how they let us take the NOL station down to 50% shields from a ragtag "hey come help shoot this" group (BoB did come and whoop our butts, but we killed more than what it shows some of the boys up in 4c are able to kill in a stand up engagement - Angelhunter can tackle something fierce). Fleet baaaaaad, guerilla goooooood. And yes, Strad has brass balls the size of Texas. ~C~

Yet if we were so stupid wed warp in and oops station is pwning us. You can't smack us for sitting at gank spot ss's as you are doing the same. As far as engaging us 3 to 1? lolz, 200km snipe and run isn't engaging whilst using a noob alt for warpins. I've had a couple good engagemts. The rest have been pure gank n runs and thats it. Not that bad, little boring sometimes, but the funny thing is while your getting very small amount of kills in our space, your financial hauling/mining and HQ is being wtfpwned all day long in Fountain. And ya that ATUK fleet went all the way around our fleet instead of facing it head to head. This war isn't just in 4c, its all over eve, prolly the largest and most widespread campaign in history.

Shimrra	Posted - 2005.08.22 11:55:00 - [51] I have to agree with Gungankllr, I have been in many fleet battles since I started EvE but the last few weeks since BoB invaded IMP space have been some of the greats. I lost my full set of +3 implants and 3 very good hardwires in the first week and I couldn't be happier because now I get to fly when ever there is a fleet out looking for trouble. There has been some great battles in 4C and I hope many more to come. I seem to be able to remember that EvE is a game, I'm here to have fun, some of you guys take things a little too seriously and you show your age when responding to posts in these forums. I look forward to kicking your ARS*E out of IMP space.

And as for the example you give, how can I comment on that? I havent logged in 8 months, I was neither in Curse during the Imp invasion or in Syndicate during bobs? So any opinion I care to give is based on the content of these boards. Therefore wild speculation is the best I could hope for. Reminder for other fleet command types out there, don't appoint fleet commanders in light ships unless they can cloak :p Our primary one(In a BS) was chased out in the first minute, 2nd and 3rd were in HACs so had no staytime when targeted, me being the last one(Also the only DMGI there in a BS), I was also running fraps(for the first time in a long time) Apparently fraps was pumping my mp3s directly into my TS feed resulting in me being screamed at to shut up and nearly being kicked from my own TS server So in essence we lost command of the fleet and attempts by others to take command were not effective and we got our asses handed to us, was still a great fight tho I was actually surprised you guys left me till last being in a faction BS and all, but it did indeed prove to be quite tough enough to take out your loot indy while under heavy fire Oh and the only reason we started shooting the station was to get a fight out of BoB. We had spent over an hour in core trying to get a fight out of you there to no result, I even have an apology evemail from one of your members about that issue, which, no, I will not post out of respect to its author. We wanted a fight, and we got one :p Hence my comment from my covert ops alt to your fleet, "Come on in, we're ready, and GL to both sides" which someone evidentally interpreted as "smack". I like to think of myself as the chlorine in the gene pool.
