You guessed it.
at 15k players the dev get a company day out to sit and meditate on some uber glacier somewhere in iceland.
Then the local druid comes and they eat dried whale meat all day, followed by the concentrated excrements of a geyser-dwelling bacteria (in lieu of peyote cactii growing in Iceland). they then proceed to decide whats gonna be in Kali and whats gonna be said to be in Kali (tho wholly different things obviously).
After that they get drunk so the wives dont suspect anything.
then they are brought home by fourwheel drive that drives backwards, for extra enlightenment and to combat the inevitable illness that comes from such a day.

It's a goal. Goals are targets that one strives to achieve. There's nothing mystical about it, other than it being one more measurable target of how much this game rocks our world.

That means it is not open to explanation, or description, only direct personal apprehension or experience.
You should ask, not "What is this mystical thing?", but "How do I achieve it?".
The way to achieve this is the Noble 8-fold Path, that is, buy 8 new accounts and you will be closer to the mystical state.

Is this something to do with the [23] again ?
As in, 1.5x15=22.5= [23] ?
Or, 15K users means 23 minutes of lag in a fleet fight ?
Or maybe 15K users means at least 23 nodes will crash ?

At 15k they get to add a new Dev for NPC content or they'll open up Jove space, but if we dip below 15k Jove space will shut quickly and never be found again, unless we hit 50k.
Or at 15k Eris gets a pink capital ship of her choice and she'll fly about ganking all the bad little boys and girls.
Faulty testing kept me from delivering the "Logic Editor" earlier.
I was using my own post and it kept blanking everything out.

I might be way off here, but I think that 15k is an unconfirmed record from some other game maybe or something and although eve can kind of claim the record now if they got over 15k it could be easily undisputed..... But I'm going off of like 1.5 year old memories here so I may be way off.

it proves that their changes have been a big gain in terms of getting more players involved and existing players more addicted
Of course only a small % of new players will end up in low sec or 0.0 most will add to the empire mass.
That said more RL $$$ for CCP which equals more funds to put into eve in terms of dev hours - GM hours and other hardware and software purchases and programming time
Might be why they are speeding kali up - though lets all play a bit more where possible to increase the data mining ability of CCP

Never been xetic so dont know if they got one as well but the one we found is most certainly a device of some purpose. Many attempts have been made to find out it's function, and even it's shape and mass, but every time we seem to make certain progress someone, somehow, without any causality or correlation to the research, dies, leaving our scientists clueless as to what just happened.
