Well i have a bestover with a MWD on but if im corect u are in RUS so i whont tell u.
Just pulling ur leg hehe. My fitting is 4 +10% power grid lowslot thingys and enginering lvl 4 thats all u need. But u dont have as much cargo space left and ur cap is constantly runnig out, so i dont recomend this exept for wery long distans. Like from ur HQ to stain with the ammo suplies to continu the war hehe.

AFAIK,
the Amaar Bestower can take one, and with a good line in skills and power modules, I think a Caldari Badger MkII can as well.

only the bestower and the iteron V can do it
and you need only engineering 3 with the bestower ;D

Iteron mark IV should be able also.
The point is, the cargo space makes it worthless unless you have to go through low sec areas with PC rats.

Well, Amarr Indy IV + engineering 3-5 (?) + RCU's would give a bestower 4200m3 of cargo, moving at approx... 1000m/s? Pretty nice, you might even save some time by moving faster with less cargo. Who knows? |

A Bestower, Mammoth, or Badger Mk II starts with about 30 power grid. Engineering 4 is a 20% bonus, which should push it to 36. Each reactor control unit is 10% more power from here, so if you can somehow get 4 in, you've got the power for a MWD. That means the Bestower can manage it. The Iteron Mk V can manage it a bit easier since it has 35 power and more low slots. The Mammoth looks like it falls just short of the power even with 5 Engineering. That is, if my math is correct.

The Caldari Badger MkII can use a MWD butyou will need to aquire some of the 26% reactor controls which are a very rare loot drop. Iam not surebut youmight also be able to do it with the 10% ones if you have lvl 5 enginering and some other skills.

Using an MWD is silly -- just train Acceleration Control up and use four high-powered afterburners on a Bestower and you'll get all the speed you need.

BTW- Does anyone know if Warp Scramblers/Disrupters work against MWDs also.

Warp Scramblers have no effect on MWDs. Stasis is the only way to stop a ship using an MWD, and even then you really need to activate stasis before they activate MWD.

Yes you can reach the same speeds with lif boosters on your bestower but if you have tried the MWD on one you will see the diffrence. The boosters takes longer to acc. to 1.4km/s. Also they turn slower. The MWDs have allowed ppl to esapce pirates and go to warp before they get turned toscrap in their indy. Unlike a crusier the bestower will accelerate instantly to 1.4km/s, this means that you can hit in and then hit the warp and you willjump in less then a second.
These are some very important diffrences. Its not the speed that is important. Irts how agile it makes the indy.

Edited by: Wowbagger on 28/07/2003 10:41:18 I use 4 lif ABs on my mammoth and I can get about 600 m/s and still get 6000+ cargo in if I use decent expanders.
If I want speed I use the same ABs but use a variety of hull mods to bump up the base speed so the ABs multiply it. I think I've had it up to 1200+ m/s and still managed to keep about 4000 cargo.
