Yes...but the base damage is nonexistant on all types. Modified damage is only for kinetic and is still significantly sub-par for a HAC even with the bonus.
Quote: can the CERBERUS deal damage at 100k+
No. The target will warp out before the missiles hit.
This off-topic post has been brought to you by my general annoyance with the cerberus and the fact that I've been wanting to train for Caldari HACs for months but it just isn't worth the time, atm.
The post is about the Zealot mate, OP stated that the Z does everything well, which is an obvious load of rubbish.
Off topic i'll address your points because its a slow day at the office.
1. Correct, no one said it did 2. less damage but more range plus 4 damage types plus FoF capability as well 3. yes it does deal damage at 100k+ especially if you dont fly solo.
p.s. you are allowed to be creative with your setups but you will never find one ship with one setup that beats everything else
Stop talknig about the caladari hac then? and start talking about the Zealot?

Originally by: lythos miralbar Give it a 5th turret and change its rof to a fall off bonus.. wtf??!?! thats a BOOST not a nerf.
You add another turret and youve just given it a 25% DAMMAGE BONUS! Ok so you drop the rof bonus but then you back to where you were to start with! Then on top of that you give it a falloff bonus, I mean huh?? Youve actualy boosted the thing
I can fly zelots but Ive traded fire with em a few times and yeah they are nice but far from the UBER ships people make em out to be. Leve em alone, and stop crying for things to be nerfed all the time. Just give caldari hacs some love for pvp (change range for dammage/tracking bonus's) and all will be right with the world.
5th turrut yes change the rof bonus to cap, that way when fitting it it will be changed as you take up more pg/cpu. So no it's not a boost.

or even better, leave it with 4 turrets and give it a defencive bonus if it had to be nerfed. prob an armor rep efficency one like the brutix, but like i said, i cant fly the things. my comments are based purely in the numbers (which can be misleading) and trading fire with them.
but with that in mind they seem ok tbh. a ferox can top 200dps easyily at 25km no problem with a nice shield tank, web, disrupter and thats excluding its launchers and drones, but I dont hear people saying nerf them?
Brutix can do 300dps + with blasters, fit a mwd, get all its armor resists over 60% and repair almost 100 hp a sec with the right setup(ok very úúú but it can still do it), but again I dont hear people screaming nerf them either.
Leave the thing alone, its fine as it is IMHO. Sounds like a flavor of the month nerf to me. And flavor of the month nerfs are what will ruin this game.

Hands off my zealot. I'm a pure gunnery specialist and it's nice to have a ship that I don't have to mess about with drones or missiles. Zealot, Deimos, Vaga and Ishtar are all top notch ships. Maybe the caldari HAC's need a little love but in general HAC's are fine and most HAC pilots I know love their ships and wouldn't fly anything else unless they had to.

the only thing broken about zealot is it's ability to fit 1600mm plates (perhaps even 2) but that's a problem with the plates tbh.
but I have to agree with Meridius, please "nerf" the zealot this way :)

Give Zaelot 5th turrent and change it rof bonus to Optimal/falloff. Remove low slot and give it a meduim slot.
This will brings zaelot in-line with other HAC imo.

that would destroy it.... leave it the way it is, they didnt nerf the deimos when it was insane, lots of people just started flying them, zealots cost a hell of alot.. Now that every1 has started flying deimos' that could be raped by a zealot you all complain get over it, amarr bs' suck compared to the megathron at long range and close range

I agree, the Zealot is totally underpowered at the moment. It needs another 250 grid, if you ask me. Keep everything else the same and we'd have a balanced ship.

Are all of you who are calling for the RoF bonus nerf here also calling for it to be removed from the Omen? After all the RoF bonus the Zealot receives is from the Omen. Do you all consider it overpowered as well?
I see the main complaint is that it can fit a 1600mm plate and a full rack of heavy pulse 2's. This has me scratching my head a bit. What is the full set up? I typically run a 800mm steel 2 plate and heavy pulse 2's because I come up a couple hundred short on PG trying to fit the 1600mm plate and fitting out my other slots with webs,HS 2's, med AR 2, AB, and possibly a hardener or two. This and all my fitting skills are at lvl 5.

Well, if you want to give it a 5th turret slot, a 4th med slot and an optimal range bonus and take away a low slot and the RoF Bonus.... That will solve the problem won't it
But, ever thought about the fact that fitting one, single amarr jammer in your med slot would paralyse the Zealot? Didn't think so. --------

There was a "what is the best HAC" thread the other day with lots of discussion, and the Zealot was 3rd (or lower). iirc the Vagabond was rated higher along with one other ship.
I find it funny to read a "nerf the Zealot" thread when it isn't even considered the best HAC. Question: do YOU consider it the best HAC? If so, then state why it is better than the Vagabond.

Fortunately I'm not, so I'll just call it stupid.

Touch my Zealot and I will personally come over and remove your spleen with a fork
It's fine as it is. It does great damage, has nice resists and can fit a plate. But it has no drones and dies quickly to thermal damage. Also, when I fly mine, i get pwn by close range ships if i fit Heavy Beam II's (optimal 20km+).
It has weaknesses like all other ships have, so leave the Zealot alone

TBH people like you should expect to get trolled when you created Retarded threads like this one, not only is it retarded (your idea if balancing the Zealot is pure hilarity), there is already at least TWO other threads talking about HAC balancing and the Zealot in General, so I suggest if you donÆt want to get trolled, you stop making idiotic redundant threads. Yes, this thread is ridiculous. I fly a Zealot and a Vagabond. I love them both. However; I have taken out a couple of zealots in my Vagabond. It was a difficult fight, to be sure, but my Vagabond won. There are things i also like about the zealot.
You sound to me like some who lost a ship to a Zealot, and since you lost it MUST be overpowered. NONSENSE. Different ships have different abilities and different uses. This is what makes Eve so interesting. Before you cry NERF, try to learn some different fighting and rigging techniques. Unless you were just completely outmatched, I'll wager you can come up with some rigs to change the outcome of a fight. Or perhaps you were merely outfought. Either way, PUT AWAY THE FRIGGIN' NERF BAT!!

Why do all the "boosts" or "nerfs" that are proposed on these boards show all the subtlety af a rusty anvil ...
when balancing require usually small tweaks to avoid completely screwing a class of ships, most people seem to confuse the nerf-bat with a sledgehammer :) ____________

Actually it's a lot further out then that, around 18-20km if they are orbitting.
If you're in an inty, it's usually not a good idea mwd - approach a Zealot
Not sure what you are saying. Yeah you are dead if you MWD approach any turret ship. Especially when they have a target painter. But once you are within 5km (and they don't have a web) they can't touch you with your MWD off. Alternatively you go further out and use an AB. Use a MWD at that range and you are toast, especially if they target paint you. Tested this against people with nearly maxed out Amarr gunnery skills, I don't get touched.

There is no forum for petitions. The devs hate petitions. This is a game not a democracy. You get used to the devs making wacky changes that 90% of the community hates. Most times they get it right after a few goes.

Well no, most ships will put the pain on you a bit but still allow you to correct your mistake and either GTFO or correct your transversal. Inties that approach me don't live past volley 2, sometimes 1 Just saying, i think it is generally worse to approach a Zealot then it is to other turret HAC's aside from maybe an artillery setup Muninn. ________________________________________________________
