What ya reckon? Kick-off(?) Tomorrow and Gillespies out .....
I reckon England are gona win it but then I aint too knowledgable about cricket, or anything else for that matter!

I reckon a draw... it's been hammering it down today (and forecast for the next few).
If so, that would be a great result, as I fancy England at the Oval (fast pitch, abrasive for the reverse swing, england have a good record there).
It's a shame they dropped Gillespie, he's been Englands best player this series. I must admit to contributing to that though, as Dizzy stated the England fans have wrecked his confidence. He was fielding near where I sat at Old Trafford, and I did enjoy applauding his every mistake

according to the news here - mcgrath and gillespie out, tait and kasper in. My pick is draw due to weather, if the weather holds - we win.

After the last two tests ive given up predictions as those of you who been following these threads will know 
The important thing for England is what they take from the Old Trafford draw, hopefully they will see it as a great performance that they wouldve won but for the weather (lets just ignore the last over from Harmison), and carry on where they left off, but dont forget that Australia have yet to put in a very good batting performance, is it coming at Trent Bridge?
Even with a draw we might just do it at the Oval, but thank god we finally have a contest on our hands the last 20 years have been painfull to say the least.
I picked up this ace book today everyone rates it as a must buy for the budding military genius, tho ive decided to rename it as "Sun Tzu's art of the bloody obvious" |

Austalier are going to take the series 3-1 I thinks. If we had won at old trafford we would have won. If there had been only a 3 day gap between the 3rd and 4th tests we would have won. lucky aussies....

Much as I wuold like Engalnd to win it .. it's 1-1-1 at the moment and we're already patting ourselves on the back. That is why we fall on our arse so often. Eyes on the prize!

Well looking at things, the Aussie bowling is all out of whack now and they are going to blood Tait! If he hits his straps on debut, like Warne and Gillespe did years ago, we'll be in trouble - if he is still crap on English pitches, then we'll win whether we bat first or second.

That Tait guy seems interesting has replaced our run supply: Jason gillespie. Mcgrath has been out of sorts since his injury and the new injury hes got its probably a good idea for the aussies to put kasper in. i think its gonna be really entertaining this is certainly the most gripping ashes ive ever seen. im picking a draw due to the weather but i would liek to see england lift the ashes

Yeah, Tait had a nightmare in the County Championship.
He went back to play in Aus and was the leading wicket taker in the Pura Cup last year

Yeah, Kasprowicz (or however the guys name is spelled) took a tumble in the outfield and couldn't bowl. Ponting added himself to the attack.

Im not so sure about the news last night ... all of em saying we had a very comfortable 219 for 4 ... that don't seem comfortable to me!
I really hope we can scr.a.p.e 400 but cr.a.cking 350 is realistic to me. It depends on if Pietersen can keep his passion in check and not keep trying 6's I guess

A couple of poor decisions, particularly an unfortunate Damien Martyn (but I have no sympathy after his claimed catch off Strauss at Old Trafford clearly bounced in his hands). England a long way better than Australia did though, bowled a full length and let the ball swing and hit the pads 20 times already this innings and maybe had a couple of legitimate LBWs turned down. Australia bowled too short and had fewer LBW shouts in the entire England innings than England have managed so far.
Unlike Baldour, I'm not going to make a prophetic statement that will come back to my face in the egg-shaped form, but England are definitely way on top.
Any comment yet Omber?
