No they are not. You have to diverse G from IMP.
And the best way to get 99% accurate is to look up the kills on ur killboard and the kills on the enemy one. Ours is not public though, so u can only verify ur total G kills. and it shows just one bs.

Feel free to get in touch with me and we can easly compare the kills and loses.

I wont say any figures, but iron - Stain kills/losses is nowhere near even.

those figures are pretty close to the truth, the lag was a huge factor in the kills but G & Iron reacted better to it than SE, its a learning process & the fight continues.
Also on another note ive heard a rumour that the GM's are saying the SE fleet lied & there was no lag in that region at all, even G & Iron never went that far ffs.

There was a ton of lag on both sides. Both sides were also having trouble locking, it appears that The Northern Fleet did happen to have lucky golden horseshoes stamped on their feet before jumping into the hellish lagfest over the weekend.
A fraps link, albeit a bit big, thankies to Mr Cue, shows the non-ability to lock was occurring everywhere.

I agree I got the same responce this morning, this a a crock of crap. they are calling the 200 people who were in this battle liers, granted some had more lag than others (which makes my point that the fight wasn't fare to begin with). I have no prolbem getting my ass handed to me in a fight, but I want to fight it, not get lagged out along with my whole fleet and be picked off one by one the lucky few that weren't laged as bad.

Thats really, really surprising to me. I was in the neighboursystem of the mainfight, fighting a smaller SE gang.
The lag was even worse than in V7-MID, i couldnt do anything at a certain point

Never ceases to amaze me that what was becoming an upbeat thread is suddenly brought crashing down by this kind of rhetoric.
It's a game man, stop whining, sometimes you SS, sometimes the bad guys SS, live with it, very few are Uber enough to solo a fleet, my guess is you ain't.

Kal, pump your breaks man
that is crud that the GM's are treating some folks who lost there battleships that night like this, i will say that those who lost it at the gate battle should be reimbursed, those who died at the planet knew what they were doing, i was the forward scout and i got shot by lots of peeps, so that was fine... but no server problems...... wtf are they on, it was 5 mins loading and then i had to log and load another 5 mins before i could do ANYTHING.
but none the less we can do nothing, ccp have not handled this properly, which is sad. ---------------------------------- "Give me but one firm spot on which to stand, and I will move earth." Archimedes c.287 - 212 BC

i agree buddrow.. i got killed at the planet and there was some lag but was ok for me so i dont want any money back from ccp - u guys were close and i was lucky enuff not to be tackled but unlucky enuff to come out with 4% hull.. whatever, who cares
everybody killed at the gate should be reimbursed - but for me it looks like CCP DOESNT CARE AT ALL - in fact after each fight that problematic CCP SHOULD BE SO KIND SO GET ONE GM UP ON THE STAGE AND PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE TO THE PAYING PLAYERS! (and most prolly it would result in many questions and flames, but gm¦s dont need to answer them, so...)
but they always keep quiet and not even give a statement through a mod - that¦s the main thing that ****es me off about CCP.

Anyone hear back from your petitions in your favor?. Gonna be quite upsetting if no ones getting anything back after the lag that innital fight caused :/
So, you choose to form up a quantity of pilots that you know from previous experience the servers do not handle properly. You then jump them all in, when you know fleet jumping in on fleet is the worst thing you can do to the server. And now you're complaining that the predictable happened and the server didn't cope very well?
If this was some unexpected occurance, or genuine bug, then I'd support you. But as far as I'm concerned, the entire problem was self-inflicted, and you should bear the consequence yourself.

How about CCP not caring about the impact your fleet battles have on the rest of the server? How about you stepping up and publically apologising for a fleet action that you knew was going to give the server serious problems?
But by all means keep shouting. Maybe you'll wake them up far enough to remember EULA Section 7.A.1 and start issuing warnings.

Real shame here... yes we knew there would be lag... but one can only hope you might have control of your ship and be managable... this was Game freezing lag.. not just slow responce times..
Sad thing is.. CCP is telling me in my petitions.. the server was just fine.. and its capable of handling Any events and that its My fault..
Yet Im running an Amd 3500, 2 gigs of ram, radeon 9800 pro 256, 10k rpm raptor HD, and a Cable connection... but yeah... clearly the problem Lies on me for the lag that seemling appeared when the 80 ships jumped in..
For all its worth... I say SE and G call a Cease fire for a few days.. Get a few hundred pilots and roam around cloud ring just jumping into each others fleet to crash the server.. Make the game unplayable for everyone till they Realize their server has problems and To start treating the people who play with some respect Not just "Sorry We have no logs of any problems at all, Its probably just your computer couldnt handle it" lines..

matthew.. im not complaining or whining.. it was fair fight concerning that we all got the same client and the same server.. but i said it earlier, we had similar fleet in the fix-coal-war and not that much lag so we didnt expect it and G/IRON jumped onto us so u can also say they caused the lag.. whatever..
i mean i¦d just like to see a news-post someday where CCP says something like: "we UPGRADED our servers/equipment by another xxx to blah blah..." (esp. thinking about the rumour they broke even a year ago - so maybe time to invest some more rather then flying to ibiza?)

Yet the accounts I'm hearing are no worse than the last time a fleet action like this was tried. Or the time before that. Or the one before that. This outcome was entirely predictable.

I agree that if the Devs genuinely didn't notice the problem, then there are issues that need looking at in their server monitoring. But bear in mind that the GM's are not the Devs. They have a different toolset, and can see different things. From a simple event log, massive lag events will not be obvious. You need a proper server load log for that. Unless the Devs have issued a specific notification to the GMs about a server-load event, the GM's won't know about it. The Dev's probably saw what was happening and decided to do nothing as they figured these experienced alliance people knew what they were doing to themselves and didn't feel it worth bothering the GM team with.

Feel free to do that. If you cause enough disruption to actually warrant attention, you're more likely to earn the ban stick than anything else.

Fair enough if you weren't expecting it quite that bad, extra fleets jumped in etc. But I would still have thought crippling lag was a hazard that could be reasonably anticipated, and a risk you accepted in such large engagements. Sure, it would be great if the server could handle it easily, but we all know the reality is otherwise, even if it does cope better sometimes than others.
Originally by: Gradinger i mean i¦d just like to see a news-post someday where CCP says something like: "we UPGRADED our servers/equipment by another xxx to blah blah..." (esp. thinking about the rumour they broke even a year ago - so maybe time to invest some more rather then flying to ibiza?)
They actually seem to be upgrading and expanding the server incrementally on a regular basis, and just don't see the point spamming out a news item every time they plug in another node. Unfortunately, there is a limit to what even hardware upgrades can do for the fleet lag problem. I've gone into the technical detail more in the general discussion thread, but basically the load from fleet battles scale with the square of the number of people involved. So to double the size of fleet battle that can be handled (and thus allow the sort of engagements you are trying without significant lag), you'd need to upgrade to server nodes 4 times as fast as we currently have. The technology for that simply isn't avaliable at the price points that are viable at our current subscription rates.
We'd all (including the Devs) love it if the Dev's had a magic wand they could wave and make the server cope with anything. Unfortunately, however far modern technology has come, there are still limits that we have to live with, at least until the next wave of development makes it out of the labs and into the fabs.

Right nice and simple request:
CAN WE HAVE A DEV COME ON THE FORUM AND POST, THAT THEY HAD NO LAG!!
I would also like to understand my question of being moved 8 mins after being podded.
I also agree we should try the all jump into 1 system again and crash eve! Then let them say no lag while we all petition them to hell!!
MMMMMMM 200+ petitions might take longer than 48hrs to get back to me though.
On a small note I lost about only 90mil in ship and stuff and am happy to take loss if I could have locked or even warped out.
