If drones did not automatically go after Pirates/rat and each rat had to be manually targeted then mining barges could not survive. Therefore; making it impossible to BOT MINE. Or even AFK mine. |

Create a counter intuitive, arbitrarily changing mining interface and remove all shortcuts for it, so bots don't know where to start botting.

This idea isn't really relative to this thread, but is to drones... should be a higher level of skill to encourage our drones to act like sleeper a.i and understand how to auto ascertain level of importance when set to auto and aggressive. Instead of just choosing next closest (which is fine for certain levels of drone skills)... sort of like... advanced drone warfare, advanced drone programming, adv drone subroutines, I dunno, something.

Many times when I mining I do not even bother killing the rats. All they do is put a tiny red tick on the shields. Also sometimes a noob will warp to my belt and the rats will switch to him and chase him out.

They're not really focused on solving the "bot mining" problem. They're more focused on harassing non-bots to tear farm.

The New order has nothing to do with bots. They farm tears from actual miners.
Their entire Code of Conduct is about dealing with other players and comes with a tear extraction guide.
If a bot goes down the process then it was pure accident.

Want miners to move from high sec to null sec?
Then give them a reason to join player corps, and stop null sec grav sites being worth less isk/hour than high sec asteroid belts.

I'd actually look forward to someone taking some incentive and ganking the bots.
The order showed at lot of promise at once point. I'd like to see someone pick up the torch they dropped it and seriously deal with botters. That if anything is an effort worth funding.

First off if a bot can target an asteroid it can target a rat, secondly if I am am in a corporate war and get jumped in while mining I certainly don't want to lose a ship because your random captcha jumped onto my screen stopping me doing anything until I typed the right line.
Two of the defining characteristics of a carebear are wanting other players to play the way the carebear wants and whining on the forums for the game to change when they don't. Yet I see more threads on these forums from gankers than I do miners whining about wanting the game changed to suit them. |

This would actually have no effect whatsoever on bots mining. When I mine with hulks, I just fit a tank on each one, and... TANK THE RATS. That's right, you don't actually need to kill them, and if they are a weak spawn, it's often better not to. Thus, bots would just make sure they had decent tanks, and that their scripts warped them off as soon as hostiles came into local, and nothing would change.

Solution: when mining , have a random question pop up every 10 minutes , something that is not answerable by a bot but easy for a player.
