So here i was minding my own business hauling and then i have this Goon bumping me demanding iskies,
Preceptor Stigmartyr > 500m or it dies
So i got caught and i new this might happen,
then they bring in a thrasher in to shoot me, to put an anti log off timer on me.
so i see this is going to be going bad quickly,
So knowing that Goons honor ransoms
I proceed to pay to release my ship.
Then i get another person join chat Named Motgus also in goons.
motgus > hello free lancer, we are currently processing
motgus > your payment, one moment
Freee Lancer > Preceptor has got the randsom
Preceptor Stigmartyr > confirmed
motgus > we have confirmed we have recieved the ransom
so now expecting to carry on my merry way
but Motgus now demands more ransom
motgus > i am the FC, once i have recieved payment i will order them to stand down
so now i am pissed as i have paid and now that they dont honor ransoms i start to ask him some questions and in result get this
motgus > we always honor our ransoms
cut a long story short,
You pay the person you pays leaves and a new person convo's you saying they are the FC and that you must pay them or die,
If you pay them they leave chat and a new Goon cinvites you to chat and demands isk to be released.
I dont call this honor at all.
Do goons accept this?
Vytas Abromaitis as CEO of Goonswarm or karttoon as the diplomat, can you give me an answer?

This is slowly degenerating into yet another diatribe against goonswarm?
They do honor ransoms, the FC is the one to negotiate it and keep track of all the ransoms collected.
During prolonged gatecamps they usually change the FC from time to time, so I guess you just were unlucky enough to get caught during a FC change.
You should have payed the second ransom and could later petition the double-ransom to one of their leaders for an instant refund.
Not everyone in EVE is trying to scam you, you need to learn to be more trustful.

Goonswarm Federation is an honorable organization that accepts ransoms and honors them; such a breach of trust is an outrageous travesty that rings our alliance down to its foundations. Unfortunately, our reimbursement policy requires an in-character meeting in space, usually in the Uedama area or surrounding systems. They might not honor ransoms, But they are great to work for. Paid our contract on time and hired us for a new one within 1 week.
