ya maybe if they put that in writing and on there game box, i dont think they would have sold too many copies then... so please what you are saying is just stupid. just because it is this way doesnt mean it was ment to be. If so then all those things that got changed should have not been changed in the game. Otherwise if things change for balance issues etc, this might be on the list of changes for the better. support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo my MoBlog |

Like I said, I'm sick of the topic. People whined enough to get a completely frellin secure container implemented into the game. No way to break them open, no way to get at the cargo inside. And that's still not enough. So I'm completely sick of hearing any more solutions until CCP fixes the blatant hole in the current one. The desires of those whining about how dangerous and risky things are around here have taken priority to everything else. The secure containers can't hold as much so you want more changes to the unsecured ones. Well boo frickin hoo. I want:
And a ton more stuff that is infinately more important than playing around with this silly cargo subject further. There are secured containers. Use them. If you choose not to use them, learn to accept the fact that you will get ripped off with no recourse because YOU CHOSE TO BE LAZY AND GREEDY. I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann Be careful out there. [67] Some seriously bad luck you've had there Jash. Eye opening stories for sure. I'm surprised nothing ever became of the three individuals that jumped you and resulted in one being shot (three head shots would have been my first thoughts in your shoes). None aprehended? No lineup at all? If not life must be a ***** lookin over your shoulder because you can be sure they will remember you. I'm pretty sick of this topic as well but on the other side it seems, and won't bother to continue the debate. If anything I'm on the side that would allow shooting the theif.<nuff> "Is it theft? Yes. Is the person wrong? Yes. !!!Does anyone give a damn so long as nobody got hurt?!!! No." Except the one that was robbed. You didn't get hurt but you lost your ring. I bet you give a damb. |

[69] Thank you Jack for posting the definition for everyone. You can either take the mine you ore back to a station, or jettison if you want to; it is purely the choice of the player. If they want safety, then take it back to the station, your cargo hold is only so big in space. If you want to risk it by jettisoning it out into open space, then take the consequences; it is a choice. Agent Shield |

Yeah, I gave a damn. But that's it. And that was the point of the entire post. I gave a damn in each incident. Nobody else really did because that's Real Life. So this bullcrap about how the police will come swooping to their rescue in real life if they have their groceries stolen off a bench. Or how the police will chase down some criminal that committed a crime while they weren't present is total BS. I don't know what fantasy world people live in, but the police do not operate like that. And continuing to whine about how Concord doesn't protect their assets and they can't protect their assets when they CHOOSE to use a method that isn't secure while an alternative exists is total horsecrap. So rather than watch the developers continue to try and waste time trying to 'fix' something that is only broken by personal choice, I'll speak my mind: The topic is dead. Use the secure containers or don't, your choice. Accept the responsibility if you choose not to use the secure containers. I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann Be careful out there. [75] Sorry for double posting this from another thread. :) I think the solutions are already in, they just need some treaming, here goes the double post: "Instead of terming defence measures illegal like webify or cap drain, or even cap drain and adding it to your own ship, they should produce counter modules, which in this case some of them are already in game, from preventing someone to target you, as far as it concenrs me they just should add one more to prevent ore thefts, and even introduce a backup ship as the baclkbird only with 1 or 2 more slots to be an escort for miners, or just add a skill that can increase your ECM ECCM slots in any ship to 1 or 2 accordingly, and that would be it. No punishemnt for ore thieves, and legal pirates, just countermeasures, i know that would suck for freelances since I am one, but at least with the money I make I can afford escorts everywhere." [77] When someone tries to open or 'take' someones container, a request message shall be sent to the owner saying something like: 'Mr X had made a request to open/take your container, do you accept / reject . If the owner has multiple containers then their should be an option for him/her to check the contained items inside it wherever they are, to avoid confusion. If the request hasnt been aswered within 2 mins then the requestor may do as he wishes with the container. Quite unrealistic but just an idea. Ez. |

[79] Edited by: Drutort on 27/07/2003 04:06:08 do you people not get it!! ALL WE ARE ASKING IS TO BE ABLE TO FIRE BACK! is that too much to ask for? when something is in reach of you taking it is pretty much yours is it not? if something came out of your damn ship is it not yours? btw the hole idea of having ownership would also be able to LIMIT the amount of CARGO's that can be jettison. Oh and the the word jettison they could have used anything else they wish, like unload cargo or who knows what. You see the problem is that someone can take it and you cant fire back at them because of concord... to fix that you need ownership to be given out, then one someone does take it you can fire at them and concord would not bother you. That is ONLY FAIR, we dont give a **** about secure cargo's that is a diff story. how many times do i have to repeat this, its not the same thread its a solution to balance the game. You want to steal fine i want the right to SHOOT YOU!! its that simple. support Idea: QuickInfo an alternative to ShowInfo my MoBlog |

[81] If you left stuff in your front yard and people kept stealing it, why would you continue to leave it out? And if you could then buy a shed that locked but you insisted on keeping your stuff on the lawn where it will be stolen, why would you do this? |

[85] ehehehe! You exploit the game mechanics to receive unlimited cargo space. And then what do you do? Complain to CCP that your exploit isn't 100% secure. You have the option to use a secure container; a method that CCP intended to be used for the safe storage of items in space. But, you don't. Sheer, utter, contemptible laziness! Well, Scrapyard Jack doesn't care for lazy people. The more AFK/macro mining expeditions that are disrupted, the better Scrapyard Jack will feel. |

What it seems you guys are not understanding is that it would not be considered stealing... It's just like if I threw a newpaper in the trash and you walked up and took it out. I threw it out and there from gave up my right to it. Useing the secure cans would be like having our shopping bag next to you... |
