More like becuase you turn your response into a whining session about all this lag it wouldnt generate (even when you have no real idea how it would affect the performance) as well as another whine about people choices in colour schemes which really has nothing to do with the topic at all.
If you've played EVE for any amount of time, you should know about the lag that happens just before any station/belt or gate is reached. This is caused by recieving transmissions from the server of which objects are there and by your graphics card cashing textures in its memory for display. Increase the number of textures and you increase the lag.
Now tell me again I don't know anything about this!

There was a devblog where they actually went through some of the things that were causing lag and they were hence optimizing as they go along.
They actually stated models and textures are were one of the least issues that caused lag. Oh and btw lag caused from models actually is on the part of your computer loading the models, NOT the servers.

yes and they've done nothing about it. They've even been suggested cashing while the ship is in warp which would optimize the arrival.

Well, that would depend on how many mods in Bling-slots there would be. I agree that it is mainly caused by texture loading on the client side, but since my system is topnotch and every other player I know personally complains about this I suspect that it is not fixed yet.
I'm all for Bling-slots if they cause absolutely no lag. But since CCP still discurrage anchored cans at gates, I suspect that the lag hasn't been resolved yet.

i think it would be a great idea. If nothing it would stop all ships looking identical.
Being able to strap an extra couple of engines on the side or maybe some cool fins and wings.
it would have to be done tactfuly though, we dont want the future of space travel to look like some kind of boy racers holiday camp. IE, make the "bling" more about adding some customisation rather than allowing people to look like ****s.
obviously any such feature must allow people to turn it off to save thier pocessing time/bandwidth should they need to.

The "Bling" slot has been suggested before (although not with that name)
Its an idea I like....
Ideas for Bling Slot:
FUZZY DICE: You have installed stylish Fuzzy Dice in your pod. Your sense of style impresses agents, adding 5% to isk payment from agents.
PIMP LIGHTS: You have installed Pimp Lights on your ship. The glarring tacky bad taste reduces the signature of your ship by 5% (Hostile targeting computers dont want to even look at you, let alone lock you....)
HAIRY CO-PILOT: You have an extremely hairy co-pilot. This means you are uber in all ways. 5% bonus to speed, agility, armor, and all turret and missile damage.

May I suggest that any "bling" mods use the advanced materials and moon minerals. Since CCP increased POS output and there is a rather large surplus of minerals and components.
Platinum and Chromium plating heat shields 4tw. 
On a more serious note I am sure the game needs development in other areas that reduce lag.

Abso-freakin-lutely hilarious! A set of bling slots would be funny as all hell.
But seriously it could be a fun idea to have 'custom slots' or something. Have the option to swap stuff like fin/wing types or colours. Like they've done with the T2 ship models over the originals. The bigger the ship class, the more custom slots it could have. Like the turrets do currently, it wouldn't be seen unless someone did a Look At so serverload lag wouldn't be out the window. |

My apologies then, as I have no way of verifying that the song was copyrighted or not my point of view is generally that it is. And as it is a song by a known artist the assumption that it indeed is copyrighted only grows stronger.

I'm against this, purely as alot of the "suggestions" only apply to real life vehicals and not space ships, and that it will also ruin the style that eve has.
HOWEVER
Rather than having full paintjobs, I'd like to see some sort of ability to add a decal to your ship, possibly something like a personal or corp logo, so that the ships dont all look exactly the same.
Some of the caldari vessels have the caldari symbols on them, as do some of the concord vessels, it would be nice if we could add our own, perhaps make them contructable like corp logo's are.
