Here we see the providence in its natural habitat in Jita together with its prime enemey - the gankers.

The high concentration of gankers made the providence shed its skin in pure anxiety.
Question is - will the providence soon be extinct?

This screenshot is actually extreme tidi right after the gank that spawned the wreck model, but didn't remove the original freighter model that kept moving although it was long dead.

The Providence always looks more heavily armored than it should. To me it looks more like a combat vessel than the Archon does. |

I watched the Perimeter gate for quite a long time, and saw several freighters bumped and allowed to escape (bumping towards stations, and / or without aggressing). I don't understand that strategy (makes more sense in lowsec, not so much in hisec).
There was a bait Providence though that worked well. Too well if you include when the Goons were beaten to the smartbomb punch by others, and instead destroying a lot of Goons. Saw both happen twice while I was watching.
I left Jita, as it really was too boring with more bumping-and-let-escape going on than I was expecting. |

Freighters are like reptiles.. they shed their old skin when they grow.
Your picture proves that Burn Jita made the freighters stronger, not weaker.
Just think of how bad an average post by me is, and then realize half of them are even worse |

There is also the fact that the Goons have been advertizing this for a few weeks and I am sure it has been the topic of conversation in all the Corp chats since it was announced.
WHY DID THEY UNDOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE?
I can understand a newb losing a cheap industrial, but a person flying around in a 1.5 + billion isk ship should know how to pay attention to the politics of what is happening in the game. |

Seriously, I've mined belts for hours in High Sec and never seen a New Order ship (I very rarely see any other ships). I've never been locked out of Jita. I've been in Low Sec systems full of wrecks, but no players (more salvage for me). Hell, I've cruised through Low in T1 Industrials fitted with nothing but afterburners and never been locked (by one of the 4 players that are normally there).
Does no one else from Aus/NZ play?  |

We've been ganking around the clock. The two people that planned the event play during AUTZ.
