This is illegal actually and is proscutable in the usa, im sure that other international business and lawenforcment would also not allow such a thing. Someone mentioned that is isnt the usa. However it doesnt matter, cyber crime in the usa, from over seas is delt with through that goverment or lawenfocrment agency in that country, people have been arrested and tried in other countries for internet crimes aimed at scamming, stealing and handing out peoples information. You also wnt to make sure that the "server info and pass" you take is not actually hosted on a company, that makes it even worse, i not make this up, but has been in the news very very often.
Anyone here up for hiring spies on Gwindor say "I"
ok Gwindor, I am sure he is not asking for TS passwords and the like. But those that are able to get access. And see it to their benefit to sell information they read or hear. Then from what I understand by the game rules CCP allows that. For example, if you contacted his spy corp and said: 'I wana know details on this corp and their strength and allies'
Getting the details that Corps A, B , C , & D are that corps buddies before you attack and **** em all off is worth the investment.
Unfortunatly corps A, B, C, & D have a spy that has been placed to learn this. I am sure USA freaking laws (cuba here I come) would throw a case like this out of court. Why? CAUSE ITS A FREAKING GAME! (4 words)
Have fun and enjoy 'the game'

What experience do you have? How deep is your knowledge of your game?
Convince me, in five sentences or less, why people should use YOU, instead of doing it themselves, or hire some of the existing services (for example, Guiding Hand).
If so, I'll get you the attention needed to get clients. ---

In many jurisdictions that would be cybercrime. Just because you con an employee to give you a password doesn't mean you are allowed to access a businesses computers.
No way in hell anyway is going to convince the police to persecute for accessing a VOIP server for a game though. In fact its generally hard for businesses to get the police to investigate cybercrime thats causes less then five figures in damage.

Sigh.............I seriusly doubt, that my Goverment for instance(I am from Denmark), would give a hoot, if FBI called our police saying, that a certain danish person had hacked a ventrillo or TS server in the US.....They would proberly put them on hold and go fight real crime.

GHSC while very effective at what they do, are rather expensive as I understand it. They take it a lil bit further then just spying. I imagine his services wouldn't be all that high of a price.
There are already spies in 90% of the corps out there. What you should do is use the resources already in place. Offer ISK to those that have the spies in place. Collect as much information as possible and put it into a database. Simple corp lists of who is in the corp can be worth millions.

Sorta like a secret spy network. I think it would be important for those that have spies in place to be able to keep who the spies are and how many a secret. But of course a way is needed to get information out and also for the given spies to be paid isk for the info..... Boonaki you got a good idea... But how can we do it so that a spy is not given up? I don't see how registering on TS and supplying the log in details to a thrid party constitutes a crime. no contracts are signed saying tha user name and password are confidential and you're not maliciously obtaining the information. maybe id there was a TOS, maybe! but logging in and listening to VOIP wouldn't warrent any investigation, FBI or otherwise.
for 500m isk I'll supply my TS details to anyone interested.
thats a joke! please don't ban me _____________________________________ The zenith of hypocrisy. |

Edited by: Ly''sol on 04/10/2005 04:24:12 Good old Zeepo...he is like a gift that keeps on giving.
edit: Oh and if you get any parties interested in the JF forums...they are gonna be disappointed. They will probally walk out of it questioning thier sexuality. And regardless...they dont got to spend thier isk for a spy to gain access. What you see publicly is what you get.
Took up the policy of being completely open after a certain alliance hacked our forum after a certian GNW...er...I said to much.
