Sorry for the lame question, how do I share a freight container in space with someone from my Corp? This container remains "yellow" to them... Thank you |

if you right click on the container, you will get a context menu. click on 'abandon container' to make it available to everyone. also, if your corp mate is not afraid of being ganked, he can just turn his safety to yellow and loot the container, thus getting a suspect flag for 15 minutes.

Setting you friend to +10 (blue) standings used to allow them to take from your cans. try that and see if it still works with the new crimewatch mechanics. |

Thank you for this quick answer.

My corp tried this but he cannot drop things in the container "You cannot put items in that container because it does not belong to you"
For information, I jetcanned a Freight Container in space not an usual jetcan... |

I don't know if this is a recent change, or I was just not paying attention before.
If I use my freighter to jet enormous cans in a belt, my alts can drop into the can, but can't take out. I thought that in the past (like maybe a month ago), anyone in my corp could take form the freight container. Now it is only the player the jettisoned the enormous.
And, no, they can't be abandoned. There are no settings other than "set name".
In short, I don't think it can be done... :( But would love to find out that I am wrong about that! |

Instead of jettisoning the can, you should be able to right click it in your hold, and the context menu should give you two options:
- Launch for self
- Launch for corporation
Naturally, you will want the second option. I'm not 100$ sure but this is how it works for Giant Secure Containers. |

to do what he wants .. doesn't the container have to be anchored ?? and that is what, only available in a .7 sec system and below ?? Inx. Can I have that 100$???
Also, anchoring can only be done with secure containers if I recall correct. When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Professional Forum Thread locker. |

I will try it out when I get home, but I think j'poll is correct. Only GSC can be "launched" and anchored. Enormous freight containers, I believe, can only be jettisoned, and can't be anchored. |

i use freight containers all the time. most of the responses in here are wrong because they address cans or other anchorable containers, not freight containers. once you jettison a freight container in space, no one except the owner (person jettisoning) can take from it. i haven't been able to figure out exactly how deposits work because i get varying results based on the systems i'm in. in null, any of my corpmates can make deposits, in certain hi sec systems, only the owner can make deposits. i haven't tested enough to figure out if the deposit rules for hi sec work in all systems or just certain ones. there' s not a lot of info on how these containers work since they were only recently introduced in the last expansion. they are pretty easy to experiment with though. gl. |

This morning, in a belt, all huge/enormous freight containers were gone. Including other corps freight container. I thought they don't despawn, ever : any idea? |

If anchored...they stay for ever...if you use them at least once every 30 days.
If unachored...people can scoop them, but server will delete them anyway after 2 hours.
As freight containers can't be anchored...their max life cycle in space is 2 hour. When a WoW player leaves to return to WoW, the avg. IQ of both games rises. Request to CCP: Please patch stupidity out of the game for Winter 2013. Professional Forum Thread locker. |
