As of last night (9-8-03) the mining drone skill still wasn't fixed.

Somewhere TomB did say something about the cargo space on drones being upped to account for this. Havn't heard or seen anything since.
I think it was in a CSM chat if someone has the posts saved.

There is a link to it on one of these crazy pages. Just an update, this skill still isn't fixed on Tranquility.

I had a go on chaos last night, the old copy of my character (mining drone 1 skill) launched a harvester at a veld roid with the order to mine, it got 31m3 instead of the standard 30m3 .. so its working (sort of, given 30 * 1.05 = 31.5m3 but I reported the glitch along with my other findings in TomB's drone balancing feedback thread :) so hopefully its an easy fix)

While playing on Chaos today (9-13) I found that the Mining drone skill is fixed there. Hopefully it will follow through with the patch

No info in the 1215 Patch Notes and the server is on it's 4th hour of Maintenance so I cannot check to see if it is fixed. However, if I let history be a guide...

i also have seen no diff in mine drone speed or amount i use 9 harvesters and have lvl 4 mine drone skill and at each lvl hoped for an increase  but alas, none.

And about the rounding, why is everything rounded so much?
Eg Mining laser yields
Miner 1 has base yield 40
if you have Mining 4 and Astrogeology 2
Yield = 52.8 (per show info)
52.8 = 40 * 1.2 * 1.1
Per cycle of Veldspar you get 520 (not 528). Is there some reason the mining laser's yield gets rounded AFTER being modified by skills and what is displayed in "Show Info" and BEFORE actual use on the asteroid?
Eg 52.8/0.35 =150 rounded down
52/0.35 = 148 rounded down
An NPC Corporation is not the pilot of its ships and structures! |

Mining drone skill seems to be fixed. With Mining Drone lvl 2, I am getting 2 units of bistot (16m/3) per cycle per drone. That is where it is supposed to be.
