What we need is more 'mutual' wars, get two alliances/big corps to agree to a mutual war, and then let the fun begin, only surrendering when one alliance/big corp is totally obliviated, and members lost...muwahha..

I really don't mean this as a flame, only opinionated criticism of a certain alliance's tactics. Having said that I find it a little hard to sympathize with someone in an alliance that has the habit of naping just about everyone who is of equal or greater size. Since [5] formed it's done nothing but attack smaller alliances which it knows it can beat. If you want action why don't you ask your leadership to think about taking on an alliance of equal size, alone, (ie: without BOB). Or leave your alliance, create another underdog corp, and have people to fight 23/7.
Bottom line is, you're in the position (bored) you're in because of choices your leadership has made. Your alliance has the power and numbers to take on anyone it wants. Make the excitement happen, don't wait for someone to bring it to you. Pretend someone blew up one of your Scorpions again.

Ok, you're obviouslly remembering a differenct CA vs SA war than I am. See, I remember the one that was full of smack-talk both on the forums and in game. Do you not remember the hundreds of threads created after every single fleet battle where people argued about the number of kills each side got? Or how about when ATUK left, and was fighting CA along with EVOL, m0o and SA? Not only was there nasty-talk in local and on the e-o forums, but the CA channel and forums were filled with nothing but hatefull remarks towards people in CA. The CA vs SA war may have been civil towards the start of the alliances, but that honeymoon period ended very quickly.
Alliance combat is, and always will be, nasty.

bob vs 5 would be awsome, however that leaves us out, so FFA for the win.
oh and yes your welcome to come north, we have been doing cheap battles for a few weeks now and they are so much damn fun, i can loose as many cruisers as i want and still be fine, so can most of you, we even let the pods just leave most of the time to go get more ships

Your alliances idea of defeating another alliance is NAP'ing 90% of its threatening players and forecing 10% to leave the area. So you can blame your leaders for the lack of action.
You have BoB, ASCN, SA and FIX all on your doorstep yet your "PvP" alliances (and others) NAPs all these juicy targets. Go fight them instead of picking weaker targets all the time.
There is PvP and there is carebear PvP. The most vocal alliances here only seem to have the stomach for the latter.

The real thing that we have lost is the anxiety you got from a clearly threatening situation. Now instead of defending the home front, it's more about avoiding losses. If we could actually lose something in 0.0 space it would make these battles more intense like they use to be. POS wars have nullified some of those quick responses and the need to have defense forces. So in order to stop ping-pongs, we've implemented a boring POS war system.
