Zrackor, Papa, are you guys reading?
PLEASE can you have a look at the offer tables for the pirate faction agents? (I am assuming all pirate faction agents work the sameway, although I have only tested with ArchAngel agents.) At the moment there is almost no point in using them and the risk versus reward is absolutely not worthwhile right now.
Why do I say this? Analyse the differences between pirate factions and empire factions. Pirate factions do not have R&D agents and so the only reasons to run missions for them are for the missions themselves and for LPs. Pirate agents are gimped in comparison on both fronts.
While running missions you have a far greater chance of obtaining faction loot from Empire agents. The Extravaganza missions tend to produce faction items if you care to run them. Pirate missions produce facton loot extremely rarely (Gone Beserk and Blockade appear to be the only ones with a chance to produce faction items). There is absolutely no way to obtain the "extreme" faction items (e.g. Gistii, Core etc) from pirate missions but there appears to be a chance to obtain them from Empire missions.
LP rewards are horrendous. Now that it's far easier to obtain pirate faction ship BPCs from Empire complexes the one true advantage in running missiosn for pirate agents is gone. Instead we have a chance to gain the pirate "Tech 2" implants.
However, the chances of being offered one of these implants in an LP offer is extremely small. Pirate agents are far happier offering normal implants and you have to wade through a ridiculous number of offers for these things before you get to the interesting ones. As for the Empire agent runners, it appears that these implants can actually drop in Empire agent missions as well as from Pirate faction commander/officer spawns. Meanwhile, pirate faction agents do NOT offer any of the non-attribute enhancing implants. This would be a fair compromise were it not for the next point.
Pirate agents do NOT offer the rare, agent running skillpacks, or at least not as far as any of the agent runners I know have found. To get the skillpacks pirate faction agent runners must either run Empire agent missions or buy them from people who do.
In fact the only unique aspect of running pirate missions appears to be the narcotics bonuses which is pretty damned poor.
In effect, if you were to do a risk versus reward analysis for running missions there is pretty much no reason why anyone would ever want to run pirate missons. And seeing as all pirate agents are in 0.0 space this is a pretty damned poor state of affairs.
PLEASE give the pirate agent runners a little loving. There's a fair few of us out here. Isn't it about time you let us get as much out of missions as those Empire peeps?

No thereÆs not, thatÆs the entire problem. Due to the lack of pirate mission runners we canÆt moan anywhere near as hard as empire agent runners so we can be nerfed all they want.
The Frigate and Cruiser offers are laughable at this point, the normal implant offers are annoying (7 offers for normal implants in a row, stupid agent wont give me any damn pirate implants). Normal implant offers should be removed from the offer table, most of the junk should too, pirate frigates should be moved down to 10k, cruisers at 25k, battleships down to 100-200k. Full set offers should be added or moved to a reasonable level, omegas should be moved down to a level that makes em worth getting. Normal pirate implants are fine but should have a bigger chance of getting offered.
If you see a pirate implant or ship for sale thereÆs a 99% chance it wasnÆt gotten trough an agent offer.
Advanced skills books where said to be offered by Pirate agents too (donÆt recall which dev said it) but I gave up those, stupid agent wouldnÆt offer me them either.
Every time pirate agents seem to get boosted they get nerfed back down a month later.
Oh well at least we still have boosters to look forward too, the plan was to release those trough pirate agent. Question of course remains how theyÆre gonna get released and how much itÆll actually benefit us.
Pirate RnD agent should be added too for items like; Smuggler Cargo Bays û Increases cargo by 5% and decreases scan chance by 5%. Smuggler Warp Core Stabs - +2 Warp Core Strength, double fitting of a normal stab Customized Smuggler Ships û ôSnake Class Iteron Mk 4ö, identical stats to a normal itty mk 4, looks the same, has less shield and hull but more agility and 10% built in resistance to customs cargo scanners.
And of course the normal t2 items and ships.
Hell, I donÆt care if they donÆt have anything to offer us yet, well be more then happy to simply work up RnD points with them for now.

Also to at least put us up to par with empire mission runners, selling of the tags that you need to collect from all the cans should be worth more and easier to sell. Thanks

Yah. Right.
Pirate agents? I wish. Try running missions for Mordu's. No ships, no T2 implants, no faction loot unless you get a luckly L2 Blockade/Berzerk. The only worthwhile things you can get from LPs are connections books and T1 attribute implants. You guys got it easy.

2006.01.04 12:27 We're starting a massive project here in True Power, and I was authorized to sell a Sansha's Nation ship blueprint to cover the cost. I'm offering this item for a very hefty discount, so consider yourself lucky. The blueprint that I have available for you is a limited run copy of the Phantasm Blueprint, if you want it I'll let it go for 800000000 ISK. Take it or leave it.
Come on CCP, I can get this bpc on escrow for less then 150m. These ship offers need to be fixed.

Well I've never run a mission for any pirate faction in my life, and I still have to say I agree with the OP. These guys need *something* that's not obtainable except by pirate missions. (Well, okay, the pirate implants, but they should get the offers more often.)
Ofc. if you do get the offers more often, the supply will go up, the price will come down, and you won't be financially in any better a position. But at least it'll *feel* like it's more fun. ________________________________________________

The original poster complained that some empire missions offered a chance of faction loot. His suggestion was to fix PIRATE agents so they too could offer faction loot.
The devs listened. Many empire missions now have a 0.0% chance of offering faction loot. There! They are fixed
Example: the going beserk mission no longer spawns a dread gurista rat on the final phase, etc.
Oh well! Sometimes you never know what you are really asking for or wishing for. |

How so Joshua. I don't agent run much so if there were any changes to pirate agents I'm unaware of them.

Pirate ship offers got improved, pirate implant offers are more comon then normal implant offers, sec status got taken into account with mission and lps rewards which bennefits doing missions in 0.0 most.
The last few things i would like to see changed are the fact that Pirates have no RnD agents and the fact that Pirate Agents become kos in empire when their empire standings drop too low but empire runners dont get shot by pirate stations when their standings get really low.
Plus Booster related cosmos is supposed to created towards pirate agents and their mission runners so after Kali hits all will be spiffy with me -------------

Originally sure, drop rates where fixed and drops where moved to Last Levels. Since then ships like the Machariel have crawled back up a bit closer to nightmares and rattlesnakes. -------------
