Where are you getting this expiry information from?
I haven't redeemed my gifts and the Gnosis offer is showing as expiring on June 1, with the rest not expiring until June 5. |

I think far too much of the Gnosis's DPS potential is in its drones. It's basically a drone boat that also gives you the ability to fit 6.25 effective turrets/launchers of your choice and a tank of your choice--as long as your tanking choice isn't passive shield regen, because it's not very effective at that.
So if you've ever said to yourself "man, I really wish I had a good solid drone/missile shield tanker at the BC size!" then it's a decent choice for you.
But if you don't have lots of skills in drones or don't like droneboats, the Gnosis will be underperforming for you. |

This ship has no requirements and is special edition for a reason: it's not meant to outclass anything already in the game. |

It's got an equal bias towards every module in the game, you can do almost anything and it cant be "wrong". However I feel shield fits will be more popular generally since it's more popular than armour already. |

It can be made fairly tanky and with the scanning bonus I see a role in locating OGB ships. should have enough tank to hold the OGB ship until friends arrive or perhaps kill them solo.
Thoughts?

I'm going to throw my 2 cents into this.
I like this ship. I'm not really very skilled up in shoot outs but I loaded this up with the gear I had on my Cane and found it to be a much better scan cruiser than the Cane. Obviously because it was designed as such.
Speed is slow but I fitted a 10Mn Microwarpdrive and now get 900m/s out of the ship which is nice.
All in all it might not be for the serious PvPers but it suits my needs perfectly.

Ok, maybe standard was a poor choice of words, perhaps "skew" or "bias" would be better.
Given that it has a slot layout that favors neither tank type, and its resists are omni* , then if the fits start to heavily skew towards one tank type or the other, then it will be an indication of poor balance between the tank types.
Likewise if the fits start to skew heavily towards one weapon type or another, it will indicate that the weapon type is OP'd
I wish CCP would give us a 3 month period, where if this ship is destroyed, you receive a 1 run BPC for it (sort of like an insurance payout, except instead of isk, its a 1 run BPC), so that people are much more likely to take it into PvP situations, as for a 3 month period, they would be replacable.
A ship type that favors no tank or weapon system has the potential to give CCP valuable insight into their weapon balance.
I think it would be a lot easier to balance the weapons and tanks, rather than to have the weapon systems imbalanced, and then balancing each of the hulls to compensate (ie: this ship uses failguns, so well just crank up hull stats X Y and Z to compensate for the fail of its guns)
*so you don't have a case of: "its good in space with rat type X, and rat type X does damage type Y, which means normally tank type Z (shield/armor) has better native resists |

Not quite true. The ship is as slow as hell right off the bat, which negates one of the main advantages shield fits have over armour fits. Whatever you are fighting is pretty much guaranteed to catch you anyway, so I see this ship working better as an armour buffer tanked brawler with close range guns and plenty of room for a choice of webs/TDs/other ewar in the mids.

One thing I like about it not mentioned is its unpackaged volume is half that of other battlecruisers. So I can actually put one in an orca SMB without having to pull nearly everything else out.
Its a nice looking ship though I can see why some don't like it |

Have been able to fit the Gnosis with lazers, an ok amour tank with all the toys for exploration, so no need for re-docking and re-fitting.
Biggest problem is the ship needs to be re-classed down to a cruiser. Found a few DED plex in local area and a Battlecruiser can not use the jump bridge into the site.
FYI this is not for main char BUT the Gnosis is no good as a exsploration ship, Hootanany will be getting it to go camp a gate till it goes #POP#. |

Dunno why people complain. The price tag is a bit too high for the added value over tech I BC but that is true for most every bling ship tbh...
There are MANY good fits for it. A few examples:
1) Neutron Basters and shield tank (2-3 LSEs depending on if you are in gang and others tackle or not) MFSII and TEs. The first ever ship I have tried on TQ that has enough mids and lows to be a good shield tank blaster boat without sacrificing tank gank or utility +it has bonused drones to boot. I mean rly think of all the Eagles turning over in their little graves...
2) The 'no damage mod - godly armor tank - utility mids- fit. Pr0 becasue the double damage bonus (drones and weapon of choice) give it credible dps with one or none damage mods. Granted put a lot of plating on this boat and it will sink like a rock... which is why you might want to combine 2xMARs (or them new mods kids use these days) with 2Xeanms 1xdcu 1xdmg mod with accelerator rigs dual med boosters and a 1k cargo hold filled to the brim with 800 booster charges. Wanna diaf but in a manly way? blasters, wanna have a chance if you get a bad warp in? pulses and autos are your friend. Wanna use missiles? Why?
3) I wanna have a laz0r ship with enough mids PLIX CCP!
4) Use them to erm... explore and erm... might profit... a little. The lack of second utility however is non conducive to safety in low and god forbid zero-zero.
5) Are you a mega rich player with a noob alt? Train the alt in gunnery and drones and fittings and have him fly Gnosis... you can leave Spaceship command for next year...trololol
6) Hmmm what ship should I stick my noob alt and his cyno generator on together with 2 webs 2 scrams to get some victims for my 111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 friends hugging the Titan... oh you don't say!
7) I am a noob and my corp says I gotta train for inties and dictors to help in teh fleet but I wanna train for BC to do lvl 3 missions.... what to do what to do... Idea!!!!
