Does anyone else think the new tanking proposals will mean the death of the Scorpion? Its already gimped now, unable to break the tank of anything but tech I cruisers. I think they should give it a damage bonus of some kind, some kind of incentive to make highslots useful again. 
Don't get me wrong its a good support ship, but its damage is so terrible its the only BS that can't win a single 1v1, especially once stacking mods gets removed.

IMO scorpions are some of the nastiest PvP ships in the game. You can fit a halfway decent armor tank and fit yer mids with jamming equipment and fit cruise missiles in highs and possibly nosferatu.
they can keep you in place or unable to fight and take care of themselves.
Never underestimate a scorp pilot, or you will probably die to him.

scorps will own even more with combat revisited as it will become more vital to jam things :)

I was testing out the mk2 ship changes on test when I had a though wondering how much the EW bonus had gimped the Scorp's damage output. So, I grabbed one and went to test it. Fitted 4x 425s and 2 cruise and went out and found a BS spawn. Killed it no problem and my tank held just fine. Not as good as the old scorp used to be but its still a viable combat ship. Damage is weak but it still tanks ok.
I do agree that a caldari BS with rail bonuses would be nice to have. I think my own proposal to just reuse the models with new names and different bonuses is a good solution to this.

It should not hurt it that much at all. I mean if you need a combat ship go Raven. Dispite what everyone says. The Raven still does far greater damage than before against other battleships. It can hold a great EW platform as well.
If you look at the typhoon I mean it's not much diffrent. It has no real cool role like the Scorpion but both can be setup to tank and NPC in just fine. The same thing applies really. If you really need a better ship you go Tempest for combat. I think the scorpion is still a badass ship.

A scorp can simultaneously jam, scramble and web an opponent while running 4 torp launchers and 2 nos......
This is a ship that can't win? More like a ship that should rarely lose. Stalemate mabey......

Scorp is the strongest ship for 1v1, just fit NOS + ecm rack and eventually anything will go down - works for me atleast

What's wrong with the scorpion. It was never meant to gank other ships.
It's the only BS that can render 3+ enemy BS useless withing the second it enters battle.
Use it like it was meant to use or get yourself another ship.

Agreed....the reason you dont see a lot of EW ships or Logistics ships around is because people think like this. OMGOSH HOW MANY GUNS CAN I FIT TO THIS SHIP? How droll and boring!

The Scorpion is fine.
4 Siege IIs, 2 425mm Railguns II is a good armament.

id like to see a 10% hybrid range bonus/level and a 5% hybrid damage/level
Aint going to happen though, i miss my sniping scorp.

If any devs are reading this post, the scorp is crap so it can be left alone.
However a ship that can racial jamb a ship 144 km away (not including fall off) with a strength of 10 (ish) units is not a gimped ship. Gives your tacklers time to get and hold and everyone else to pop it.
It might not have the power of a tempest, but if the tempest cant shoot you, who cares, it will die eventually if you have desent missile skills.
I have EW skills to lvl 4 and caldari bs to lvl 4 as well as all the missile skills. Its not a 2 mill skill point, insta kill, but if you invest in the time, its a great little ship.

Scorpions are even more powerfull than they were before the EW-patch.
Racial jammers just pwn everything in sight. They give fighting outnumbered a good chance to win.
