yeah, the best part about the constant ones tonight is when the client won't let you close it until after it fully realizes the DC....which for me has been over a minute or two of trying to close the program AFTER i've realized that i'd disconnected.
And yes CCP, i can connect to other sites/servers across the pond, the only exception seems to be CCP's servers. Infact, it was my brit friends who would confirm when my ship would register as DC'd in game... |

I'm also receiving more than triple my old rate of Sock Disconnects since the last patch. This problem is only related to EVE, every other program/game has worked flawlessly, and it doesn't appear to be an issue with server location as when this gets bad i start pinging servers in US/EU/England and they all respond well.
It was once thought that CCP has simply been slowly changing the EVE code to be less and less forgiving in regards to packet drops.
The only thing CCP has ever really said on this issue is "It's not us, it's you." We know this is something that is specialized to EVE, just be flipping honest with the ppl paying your apparently overinflated salaries. |

And yet again, CCP sidesteps any real troubleshooting and responsibility and hands ppl a debatable temp fix to this situation. The fact they locked that thread without explaining the how/why themselves as the 'experts' doesn't bode well for me to trust the 'i know what i'm doing' self proclaimed expert.
And no, i cannot just plug my modem straight into my PC as i have multiple (several PC's and gaming consoles) devices in my home.
CCP, man up and take responsibility. This is not caused by being alt-tabbed out or simply not interacting with the client. This happens more often when i am actively trying to use the client, and oddly, less often when i am AFK for hours at a time. |
