We had a little fun over the past couple days. Had a good laugh over it, figured I'd share with the forum.
So this fellow by the name of palimpalim approaches one of my mates, offering to sell a 1-run Machariel BPC. The guy refuses to place it on escrow, insisting on delivery. Naturally this raises her suspicions, and of course the BPC turns out to be used up, 0-run.
He's asking for 650m. My mate negotiates him down to 350m. They open a trade window, he places the BPC in, my mate places the 350m in, the guy hits accept, and my mate... doesn't.
For oh, about two hours.
Palimpalim is getting impatient. Right when he's about to give up, I convo him and say I heard he was selling a cheap Mach, and that I'll give him 400 million. Only thing is, I'm in a battleship and at war, so I can't travel - he has to deliver. I make him run across 20+ systems, and when he's just about to arrive, I tell him I gotta log off, but that I want his ship. Don't forget me, palimpalim, I said.
A couple more 20 jump deliveries for palimpalim ensue in much the same fashion. We basically sent him on a wild goose chase for the better part of two days. Finally, another of my mates convos him and offers him the original value of the BPC, 650m - but the catch is he has to deliver it to Hemin in Curse.
I'm sure you can guess what happens next.
To his credit, his pod got away. He left us with parting words that have the Guiding Hand Social Club quivering in mortal, pants-wetting fear:

I will most likely be leaving the GH-SC soon, I don't want to put my corpmates at risk because of my crimes.
