I don't get it. Are you saying that ratting an anomaly is 'carebear' activity? Every single high-end PvP'er I know does it. Or is the term 'carebear' just a generic pejorative thrown around whenever you read a post you don't happen to like for whatever reason? Indeed. Most ratters in null do it to fund PVP. Mission runners in highsec do it for a myriad of reasons, the most common of which seem to be that they haven't really been introduced to the broader game, or they're simply not interested in anything more than shooting red pluses and blinging out their ships until one day PVP finds them. |

Blowing up other people's ships. I can see both the profit and the fun in that. But podding makes no sense. No profit. No challenge. And you can't mock them in Local once they're gone. Sure you can, see my earlier post about the guys contracting my corpse back to me. That was a nice touch that could certainly get under the skin of people like the OP. Plus it's more killboard padding particularly now that implants are included on the mails. Hell I've lost plenty of pods worth more than the ship I was riding. In null sec it's simple. If they aren't friends you shoot them. that's all the reason one needs.
I think I could make a valid argument to make capsules impervious to destruction, have no overview beyond gates and stations, and have ALL ship destruction result in random implant damage/destruction and that would make things a lot harder for everybody and "spread the love" of implant loss to everybody from highsec bear to hardcore death-a-day PVPers. And no using the clone vat as a instant respawn point either as getting podded back to it is gone.
Just can't figure out what kind of player would scream and cry the loudest over such a proposed change. |

Not in the least. Carebear is someone who tries to avoid PvP, and never willingly participates in it. I run missions. I hit up anoms and plexes. I rat the belts. I manufacture and trade. I also hunt other people who do those same things, as well as engage in highsec duelling.
I am saying that a carebear who takes his out-of-station activities to nullsec... mining, ratting, plexing, and anom-scanning... is, simply put: braver than us. Most nullbears don't whine about getting zapped. They take it in stride, and build a new ship. And, they deserve a little respect for that. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Nope... I looked you up on Battleclinic, before commenting. You have zero kills and 12 losses. Not a single one of your losses was much of a combat ship. Most of the ships you've flown are mining ships. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. Since they don't drive what they can't afford to lose."-á --áBienator II |

Then you are either a liar, or your data is faulty, because I am looking at my combat log right now, and it says more than 12 losses, and more than 0 kills, not that either statistics means anything in either regard. |

Battleclinic is tied to your API. It always tells the truth, even when you edit yourself into a corpy's killmail for a third-party killboard.

I don't pull this out very often... but you're a 3 1/2-month old nooblet who has foolishly moved out into nullsec WAY before he's ready for it. Evidenced by your overall attitude. And, you're starting a pissing contest about the way EVE works, with one of CCP's earliest paying customers. Don't even try to patronize me. My "employment history" may not say 2003, but I assure you, I remember what this game was like, before there were T2 ships. And, since you were so rude to me. Here's your Battleclinic record, since you're obviously too window-licker to know your own mistakes. Or is your own poor judgement and lack of situational awareness all a PvPer's fault, too? http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/combat_record.php?type=player&name=Asmodai+Xodai#losses What the frak are you talking about - 'editing yourself into a corpy's killmail?' You insult powers are as weak as your ability to use your ship's directional scanner. Also, you have picked a player to attempt to offend who is about third from the bottom of "EVE players it is possible to **** off" list. The only two guys in the whole game world who are less likely to get mad at something you say are NTRabbit and Chribba. "you can identify eve players by looking at their cars. You seem to be confused about how killboards and the API work, in general. They don't magically get API access by virtue of the fact that they exist.
