I want to create a permanent sticky with a list of thread links to 'must read' threads here on the eve library. It will have the url and a short description regarding the content of the story (like a backcover)
So, please submit any links to a story of which you think it should be mentioned on this list, and please explain why.
The only condition at this time is that the story must have at least 3 chapters or several pages worth of story telling.
I heart all, some more then others though. |

A definite "must read" imo is Nakatre's IN THEORY
A flowing dialogue, gripping story-line, a tale, quite possibly, to epic proportions. Yes, its in early stages, not pages, but has met the criteria of more than 3 chapters.
This is a no-way-can-you-turn-away-from-this background, kinda thing!

Ly'Sol's An Odd Job. Really riveting story, and he created some nice bits of Caldari history.

I see no reason for having to explain "why". It just is. But huge would probably be one of the reasons if I did. On many levels.

Hum... I'd like to think "must read" are judged by the quality, not the length... some good stuff in here have only a couple of pages...
The End by Maze La'Zie is IMHO the best thing I've read in The Library, and I've read everything posted here in the last six months. Direct, powerful, almost painful. Should be at the top of the list.

Evocations by Shintoko Akahoshi. A lesson in character background.
Reborn by Suuji Praath. What Intaki do when away from their pod! (Note: this one complies with the required length: 3 chapters and a fourth coming, or so he promised)

I'm going to agree with Silver Night and say that Herko's work is "Must Read". Any of it really (Nightmare of a star god, Cold Wind, The right choice of words, Kanisaka, to name a few), everything I've read has been of the best player fiction out there. Since Herko usually writes shorts, maybe he can have a bunch of pieces on the sticky instead of one story

Well... I don't know if it's a 'must read', it's pretty dry at the beginning, and is alot of reading. I've gotten a good deal of compliments on it, though, and I think it has a good place on here.
It's getting close to that hour...
IGCTTH is the continuing (whenever I get the chance) story of Aphoxema G, a Sebiestor with no conviction or any paticular stability. It reveals her life as a pod pilot, the worst troubles she faces, and her aspirations to prove her worthyness to no one in particular. Her growth is difficult, made no easier by her impatient and self destructive nature, but through the friends she makes she begins to learn the lessons of life she never learned before.
Soon, I'll even rip off The Hamish Saga and make it look half decent on it's own web page!
