Ok Ive seen all this talk, does anyone know for certain that they are definatly going to release T2 Destroyers next expansion? If so I want to begin training the skills :P
I do hope they are going to be optimised for taking out droves of t2 frigs and intys, as T1 Destroyers are fo the same t1 purpose.... but gimped...

Hopefully they will be anti-interceptor ships.
-10% sig resolution to turrents per level. +50% tracking speed per level
+10% web range per level + Resists.
Oh ya baby, something to kill those little inty bastards. _______________________________________________

+50%?
Are you trying to make it the best ship in the game or something?

No, just a ship that hits with every shot regardless of the targets speed or sig radius. _______________________________________________

Oveur said the content dep is working (iirc) a t2 destroyer, 2 new t2 cruisers (an ew and a covert ops), and 2 t2 bcs, as well as 2 carriers and a titan per race - all for kali.
Hopefully theyll manage to fit all of them in. Exactly how good the t2 dessies will be, anyones guess. They could be ubar, they could be gimped like bombers. -------------

Err... hits for wrecking every time o.O
I think 15% per level would be a more appropriate bonus. I would also like to see maybe an optimal bonus(10% per level?), and web range bonus (7.5% per level?), so that you can web at greater distances, and hit out to the end of your web range while doing good damage.
Some increased resistances might be nice - but not too much. Ideally, I'm trying to create a ship that will roast 1-2 frigates with ease, but in numbers excess of 2-3 will be toasted quickly. And quite vulnurable to long range set ups. A ship with the above bonuses would be very deadly between 10-17km, pretty decent below 5-10km, but would be relatively ineffective against targets out past 20km.
By the way - werent Destroyers supposed to be affected by the MKII changes? I'm still waiting on those to be added to stickied thread, but no changes have come so far.

Tech 2 Destroyers, Battlecruisers and Battleships ARE in for Kali. I'm pretty sure the new tech 2 cruisers are as well. I wouldnt hold my breathe on Carriers and Titans, though. Just being realistic.
I also see some new tech 2 frigate in the SiSi DB dump - another AF for each race, a new covert ops (EW?) and a mining frigate that looks like it will be able to fit a pair of DCMII's. I dont know what the deal with those are, but the red Tristan looks hot - and I would really like to get my hands on that Keres (5 mid slots on a EW frigate? Yes please!)

Post-devchat interview and more specifically this question:
Quote: Sabaoth: Any ships in the pipe apart from the ones listed on the eve-online.com site? (Carrier/Titan)
Richardsson: We have 8 Carriers and 4 Titans in addition to 4 Fighters (XL Drones) and a big line of Tech 2 ships consisting of 2 new Cruisers, 1 Destroyer and 1, possibly 2 Battlecruisers.
Rerading the stickies is ftw ._. -------------

Id like to see the T1s on steroids.
-No rate of fire penalty -Better tracking -T2 resists -1 more mid and low slot -More power and cpu
And make the Caldari one use rockets.

Nerfed plates, more HP and now a dedicated ceptor killer? Why bother with small ships, when EVE seems to go in the big = better direction all the time?
Btw, tech 2 BS arent in Kali unless something changed recently.

Perhaps youd like to look at the mass figures on the recently revsed plates, and hope like every sensible person that they will take off the static speed penalty.
Then consider how well large guns and missiles hit small ships, and tell me BS are ftw. -------------

They'll still suck for usage. Revert the armour boost and stick with the static -10% speed.
BS ftw...they're getting a SERIOUS boost with the proposed changes.

I disagree. But that's beside the point. Until CCP tries taking the static penalty off, there's no real way to test. Though from my calculations, 400mm on an interceptor with only added mass should yeld from 10% speed penalty downwards (better plates add less mass).
Thats comparable to the 10% static penalty, with the added bonus that rolled tungsten will add less than it does now.
Entirely another question is that last i checked - yesterday - some extenders were giving far more hp for comparable fitting costs compared to plates. And of course why T2 extenders give more hp then best named while plates dont. -------------

Originally by: Oveur Wait, no new Stuff(TM)? No "love me long time"?
As always, lets try to seperate coding features from manufacturing content. If we have the available testing and content resources available from the Kali development, we will release a number of new Tech Level 2 ships. How many and what ship classes hasn't been decided, but we aim to put at least one Tech Level 2 Battleship in there.
Thats from an August Dev Blog.

To hell with rockets.
