I managed to get into Eve using the ExeFile.exe...file....but the launcher refuses to work. The provided links do load, but incredibly slowly.
At one point the "new" launcher loaded but wouldn't load the client when I tried to log in. Restarting it just sent me back to the "offline" screen again. |

Exactly the same for me, got it to work once, but wouldn't lauch client, on restart back to offline mode.

Well, the launcher is screwed. First auto updated...screwed.
Forced the update from here...still screwed.
I get the launcher box filled with a webpage from Media.com with a search box saying I searched for NONE.
Any idea when the launcher may be fixed, or rolled back? Don't care which, but I'd really like to be able to play sometime today. |

It first downloaded the new launcher and then I was getting the offline messages. I restarted the launcher and got an error and an error code. I went to the launcher settings to initiate repair. We shall see if that fixes anything. I am kind of concerned that this is released and everyone is having problems ...

First link: after about a minute or more the page finally loaded, after logging in I get "SERVER: Tranquility (UNKNOWN) "and a greyed out play button.
Second liink: Opened a text file after about 30 seconds.

I am also getting the EVE Launcher failed OFFLINE mode issue.
I attempted to launch the game directly and it prompted me for an update, I proceeded to update and it re-patched and updated the launcher again. Once this was all complete the launcher was still in offline mode. I attempted to launch the game client directly and all I am getting is "Download complete press OK to update".
Needless to say, I can't get on like everybody else.
Are we all going to get a free Day of EVE for this mess like you have provided in the past?

Both URLs load in a browser, the first I can see what looks like the new launcher UI, and the seconds is obviously just a text file with lots of text.
My installed launcher still displays Offline Mode. I tried running repair.exe and that did not resolve the issue.
Update: Where are the launcher logs located? |

Taken me over 5 minutes to connect to client.eveonline.com the text file loaded after maybe 4 minutes.
I started the repair tool, but it took several minutes to start.
Ran ping/traceroute and saw no errors or any latency.
When I run EVE, if I can get the client to come up I get a incompatible (protocol) error next to the TQ status.
EDIT:
After running the repair tool, launching eve manually has started to work. |
