Except its anything but non-existent in high-rof AC ships which just happen to have the worst cap.

You mean the way my heavy pulses use more cap/second than say, quad light beams - which have a much lower rof?
And the way they use less cap than my heavy beams?
Projectiles already have the cap use equivalent: varying ammo sizes, meaning you can fit a whole 10 EMP M into a 720mm howitzer.
There's really no reason for the smaller ACs to be burdened by a cap use that while minor on any other ship becomes significant with minmatar's abysmal cap, compounded by racial preference for rof bonuses in all ship classes.

Blasters being an anomnaly vis-a-vis rails because they have a close-range gun that takes more fitting than the long-range. :)
Probably related to the fact that gallente used to be blaster-only and caldari rail-only basically - remember the rail platform raven? :D
Let alone the fact neutron's can be taken out of game and no practical setup will suffer.
Regardless, it remains that cap usage is directly related to fitting costs - this is true even with blasters/rails - meanining smaller guns are easier to fit, have less range and are easier to run.
Where with projectiles theyre harder to run.

Well, its not an issue on howies.
However, its an issue on cruiser ACs.
AT the very least somce consistency would be nice, after all why would frigate ACs use 0 cap if it wasnt as issue at all? Because they would draw about 2/3 to 1/2 half the cap of blasters is why.
Is it too much to ask to have the same on all the guns?
