Rumors have it that there is a 6/10 complex located in the Rens solar system. I'd like to prove or disprove this rumor so I am offering 50 Million ISK to the first pilot that can take me to the complex. This offer will be valid up and until 10/31/05. Please contact me by convo or Evemail if you have proof and can take me to the complex.

Sorry about not being clearer, it's said that the complex is a Hidden Complex.

There are no 6/10s in higher than .4 systems. so its a myth.

Actually Hidden complexes dont have difficulty ratings, so any listing of a hidden plex with a rating is a fake. ------------------

1st of all Hidden complexes have dificulty ratings ... for example theres a hidden angel 5/10 7 jumps away from rens. 2nd We have tried to find this rens complex and came up empty possibly because scan probes bug 3rd The bookmark to that complex is worth at least 500 mils if you are the between the firsts 4th Hi Menod :p _______________________________________________ I dont have a drinking problem ... i drink ... i get drunk .. i fall down .. no problem |

Edited by: Zrakor on 24/10/2005 13:59:23 I'm afraid it's fiction. I checked the database and there is no static dungeon in Rens. There are of course agent mission dungeons there (that are spawned and despawned through the mission system) but they do not have difficulty ratings like many of the static complexes do.

Forgive the newb question, but what, exactly, are fracionalized complexes (e.g. 6/10 complex, 5/10 complex, etc.)? And why are they significant?
Thank you.
And when answering, could you please use standard English instead of Eve jargon. Thanks again.

Zrakor,
Thanks for checking the database and for ending the doubt whether the complex existed or not.
Also, at this time the reward for the location of the complex is being removed since it does not exist.
Have a Nice Day :) Menod Penter

They are static 'dungeons' (well dungeon would be the word in other games ;)). 5/10, 6/10, etc. is the difficulty rating, ranging from 1/10 to 10/10 (eg. there's 10 level of difficulty, first level being the easiest one, 10th level being hell in space).
Now there is two kind of complexes:regular complexes: you can see them in your overview if it's configured to show beaconshidden complexes: in some system, there is a complex that don't show in overview (hence the "hidden"). You can find them scanning the system with probes
In these complexes, you meet a lot of NPCs (pirates or drones depending on the complexe), and in pirate complexes you can get good loot (depending on chance and difficulty of the complexe), such as faction ships BPCs. The complexes have several stages, and you need to get a key to get to the next stage, key which is droped by a particular NPC/structure or looted in a can (but the NPC/structure usualy have a long respawn time, particularly for the last few stages and the higher difficulty complexes, same for the key when it's in a container).
In addition, there is restrictions on ship classes to enter these complexes:level 1: maximum a frigatelevel 2: maximum a destroyerlevel 3: maximum a cruiserlevel 4: maximum a Battle cruiser At the moment, dreadnoughts can't enter any complex. With a Battle ship, you can enter any complex level 5 or higher. T2 ships have the same restrictions as their T1 counterparts (eg. T2 frigs can enter level 1 complexes).
Quote: dont fly what you cant afford to lose, always have it insured, make sure you can replace it before you take it into 0.0 or any potentially kaboomish situations.

if there was such a plex in rens it would only add more lag thats why those ones that are in empire are located in quite systems (called getting away from rens and yulai)

Last night I tried to go into a lvl 3 Complex with my Cruiser and it said I couldn't. How does one know what lvl a Complex is anyway? I went into it with my Destroyer and it never said what lvl it was.
I killed 5 Cruisers with my Destroyer and only one of them droped a loot can. Random Ships in Complexes do not give good loot.

The level is displayed in-game at the bottom of the description window for the complex. (click 'I' button in overview)
