They're on the bandwagon of "YOU'RE ENTITLED CRYBABY!!!", yet as an adult (I'm nearly 50 years-old) paying for a service you do expect to get what you're paying for...in EvE it's clock time. If the clock is stopped for tape restore/backup, then compensation is in order for lost clock time.

So now because of down time my alt should have finished Cruiser 3 but will miss it. And we got no SP comp?
This is complete BS. This is a new character I purchased I would have made the training within 10 hours of down time but now I am a almost 2 days without a que.

I think we should be comped for this 100,000 sp at least. Also I was going to spend the weekend earning the isk to plex my 3 accounts now one of them I will have to let expire until I make the ISK to pay for it again so that is at least an other day of missed training.
So on top of the SP I think everyone should get two days added to there sub times.

If you waited until the last minute, you should have thought about your strategy better.

So no I did not have a year to train this. I had enough time to train it providing CCP does what we as paying customers pay for them to do, And that it provide a service. We pay for service we were denied said service for two days.

This was also due to a lack of security on their part. They have already stated that there was a weakness that someone exploited. This was well within their control, and they failed to secure their servers properly.
All this ass kissing that is being done here it pointless. CCP will not see that you are on their side. They will not see that you are not asking to be comped and reward you for being a kiss ass.

They will not know your name, they do not give a **** who you are. You all only look like a bunch of suck up fan boys who one
can't stand to see a negative thing said about their game. And two think that CCP might reward you in some way for being a kiss ass.
I understand that for 99% of you (this is a factual number) that "EVE IS REAL" I know this is your life blood.
I know that this is your escape and a way to get back at the cruel cruel world that shuns you at every corner.
A way to get back at the boss who promoted the more qualified guy. Or pay back for all the bullys who took your lunch money back in school. Revenge for the girl that turned you down and laughed at you.

But it is non of those things. It is a business. A business has one sole reason to exist that's profits.
You can bet your sweet ass the moment EVE stops making profit and money it will only be a short time after that it gets shut down.
You will be left with nothing all the kissing ass and brown nosing would have done nothing (just like it's doing nothing now)
EVE is doing well now it isn't dying but everything does end be it 1 year or 20 years from now.
And if compensation helps to keep customers money rolling in you can bet they will do it.
And they are in fact coming up with compensation plans so I guess I win after all huh?

So what have we learned from the OP:


1.) Don't keep putting stuff back till the last minute (CCP said they were going to change the skills MONTHS ago).
2.) Don't be a ****ing whiner on the forum
3.) Nobody cares that you made both of the above mentioned mistakes.
4.) Damage control should be done better (see last few pages of OP's post as an example of how NOT to do it.)

Your thoughts when buying a new character:
"Oh wow, looks like I'm going to just be able to make it in time training for the skill changes. Better get BC 5 and Destroyers 5 first and then the frigates and cruisers."

My thoughts would have been:
"Oh wow, looks like I'm going to cut it pretty close. I guess there's always the possibility of something happening and me falling short, so I guess I'd better train all the frigates and cruisers first, then BC and Destroyers 5 to make sure at least some gets transferred into all the racial skills in the event that I somehow fall short."

Yeah not like you need to have frig 4 done before injecting cruiser 0 or anything. Nope. You can just queue all that right up and go to bed!
