The Prophecy Battlecruiser sped thru the early hours toward a destination unknown to the crew. Aboard the bridge, Vice-Admiral Archbishop could not sleep. After nearly a year of chasing the captive in his brig he had finally caught her near Kehour where she was planning another terrorist attack.
Khaminar Murino......
The beast was violently evil and killed three Amarrian soldiers before being captured. She would pay for her acts of violence against God's chosen. But Archbishop would not be her judge......
Slowly the Prophecy slowly approached an abandoned Amarrian station. What appeared to be pirates circling it ignored the massive Battlecruiser..... it was all an illusion.
Slowly the Prophecy entered what appeared to be an abandoned docking bay. Inside told another story. A blue light filled the interior as men in black uniforms worked feverishly unloading cargo from various industrial ships. Slowly the ship moved into a bay and stopped. A large retracting docking mechanism moved a pressurized walkway to the golden hulled warship securing with a loud hiss as the seal fit tightly.

The golden door of the Prophecy opened and Archbishop strode out followed by two PIE marines. Moving toward the end of the walkway he noticed three black robed men at the end. Cloaks hid their faces and the light cast an ominous shadow on the men. Still Archbishop felt at home among the true soldiers of God.
"Welcome Admiral welcome" said one man holding out his hand and grasping Archbishops. They shook hands as old friends as the Admiral nodded toward the Prophecy airlock. A large cage containing an angry looking Minmatar woman was floating over on anti-gravity pads followed by four Kaimera armed with large laser rifles. The woman looked in a stupor but still furious as she saw the Admiral from PIE.
"You bastard you will die a thousand deaths!" said the woman as she spat at Archbishop.
"I think not you beast" he replied wiping the spittle off his robe.
"I read about your Society of Enlightenment...... you won't convert me and make me a slave" she screamed at him as she tried to bend the Titanium bars in a futile gesture of resistance.
"Who said anything about the Society of Enlightenment?" said Archbishop smiling almost menacingly.
Slowly the Minmatar looked around. She noticed the three black robed men..... the large cages surrounding the loading dock..... the large prod sticks in the hands of the guards......
"What is this place? You bastard! What are you doing to me?" she screamed more in panic as she realized she was not just in a jail.
"Why I'm turning you over to people who know how to extract any an all information from an enemy. People who are even more religious then myself. People who have an unquestioned faith in God and the Emperor...... You might call them...... Oh well its of no importance." he said as he backed away.
A blackrobed man walked up to her and stuck the electroprod into the cage. She was stunned by the jolt and flew into the bars her body spasming with involuntary muscle cramps and contractions. She had never felt anything like that before.
"You will be silent slave or you will be punished." the man said as he looked at the Minmatar on the floor of the cage. "You will tell us what we want to know and you will serve God and Amarr someday. You have no choice".
She looked around terrified. This was no Amarrian jail. This was something much worse. While her terrorist heart beat with hatred for the Amarr she had never seen such fanaticism before. She felt like these were almost the Amarrian version of her fanatical Minmatar comrades.
Archbishop bowed and walked back to the Prophecy. The black robed men bowed in return as the cage was led off.
Leaving the station the Admiral set a course for Amarr Emperor Station. Time for some meditation. Time for prayer. Soon all would be revealed and nothing would be the same.

I don't know what's more despicable, Amarrian slavers, Minmatar rebels, or the way Archbishop goes around championing Amarrian self-righteousness and sanctity as he posts naked pictures of a prisoner up on GalNet.

Agreed.
You'd be surprised what other kinds of hmmm, picture and holoreel material 'faithful' Amarrians hide away in their apartments. Along with special duties of their favourite 'household' slaves. Usually they are too smart to publicize them, though. Inappropriate signature graphic removed -Zhuge

Archbishop... your treatment of the fairer sex whether they are slaves or not, criminals or not is pathetic and inhumane. I loathe you! Any religion that teaches their believers that it is OK to treat another living life in this manner should be re-examined. ----------------

Karn sat at his comms desk sorting through a back-log of communications. His eyes kept straying to a second sceen to the left of his main viewer, on which he had the pages of GalNet. Idly he browsed the new posts, most barely distracting him from the task at hand.
Then he caught one, captured by the artwork as much as anything, and began to read. He frowned, then grimaced. Then his mouth set in a strong line of loathing as he read:
... A blackrobed man walked up to her and stuck the electroprod into the cage. She was stunned by the jolt and flew into the bars her body spasming with involuntary muscle cramps and contractions.
"Hmmm ... something not right about this ... why would the slaver broadcast this for all to see? Does he wish to bring the wrath of all Matar on his head?"
Karn thought some more his eyes re-reading the post, his frown increasing.
"Or is it propaganda to create a distraction and raise the ire of my people in the wrong direction? ... Hmmm ... whatever it is, it needs looking into."
With that Karn close his second screen and put thru a closed comms call to his agent in Abudban.
"Vodber Svaken, can I help you?"
"Vodber, its Karn, I need some intel"
"Who you trying to find this time Karn?" Vodber chuckled.
"A Matari warrior apparently captured by the Amarr" replied Karn.
"Name?" responded Vober
"Khaminar Murino"
"Ok leave it with, me I'll evemail you her whereabouts shortly".
Karn killed the comm and sat back in thought, then shrugged and went back to his work. A short while later an icon on his screen flashed alerting him to a new evemail.
He opened it and began to read.
"Scumsucker?" Karn laughed, "Vodber always assumed the worst."
"Ammold eh?" Karn laughed again, "well that sounds real dangerous. Fear-mongering bastards, the least they could'a done is used a patsy who was in deep space."
Karn relaxed and went back to work.

Khaldorn eyes stared unmoving at the large galnet viewscreen. The camera slowly zoomed in on the girl sheltered in the cell, shivering naked in her chains. Khaldorns knuckles were white with his grip on the chair as the her face filled the view screen - her eyes glimmered sheer hate.
A few rookie pilots stumbled into the mess hall, laughing loudly at some shared joke. One of them, upon noticing the woman's face on the screen let out a long whistle.
"Hey, who's the hotty?"
The men either side of Khaldorn moved like lightning as he rose up in his chair with murder in his eyes, they managed to grab him before he got to the rookie. 4 of them strained against his rage as he let out a roar, struggling against them.
"Rookie, get the hell out of here now!" Maggot shouted at the stunned man. Needing no encouragement he backed out of the mess hall quickly.
The men restraining Khaldorn slowly stepped back with their hands in the air.
"Easy Khal" Maggot enthused "Just take a deep breath"
Khaldorn, body still heaving with the exursion of the struggle turned sharply towards the galnet terminal, grabbing the camera he patched a feed in. -

However, it appears you have made a dire personal enemy in the hot-head Khaldorn Murino. I take it this Khaminar is his relative somehow? ethidium bromide wipes a grin of satisfaction of his face after witnessing khaldorn's outburst before activating the record mechanisms...

the recording mechanism is stoped and the data chip handed to a young female slave who still wears the marks of forced reeducation visibly on her naked back. "get this sent to the FU2 headquarters immedeatly and make sure they know where it came from my dear...." the young woman bows and terror is visible on her face when she hears the words 'my dear'. after she left the room the vice-admiral sits down and relaxes.... Darius was hunched over his terminal in his room, as always when not on duty in space. His quaters were spartan and impersonal, but he liked them because they were pretty close to the mess hall at the HQ. It was little secret to the guys that Darius liked his food, and having the appetite of a Brutor, he was always on the prowl. A race of footsept caught his attention outside his door, and Darius groaned to himself as he go up to see the comotion. There was some shouting as well, both panicked and fierce rolled into one unharmonious torrent.
As he opened the door, several of the newer recruits were half running past. 'Hey!' he shouted 'No running through the crew quaters!' They didn't stop, or even look around in his direction, and turned the corner. 'Kids...' he muttered to himself, before realising the shouting was still coming from the mess hall. Angry and billowing. 'What the hell...' Darius made his way to the mess door, just in time to dodge a flying stool that whoshed past his head and clattered against the steel bulkhead oposite the door. 'Hey!' 'Dar, get in here quick!' came Maggots voice.
Darius rounded the corner, keeping low and ready for anything... except the sight of Khaldorn tearing the place appart. A path of destruction lay between him and a smashed GalNet terminal in a corner boothe. One either side of Khaldorn, Maggot, Zool, Beinrich and Mangold were fighting to get a hold of him and pin him to the floor. One look at Khaldorns eyes told him they were ablaze with rage and bloodlust. It was a scary sight on him, and a state he could never remember seeing Khaldorn in through the years he has known him. Khaldorn was still hurling things around, and lashing out with every limb at anyone who got close to him.
'Damn...' muttered Darius, and quickly joined the frey. Picking their time, they all pounced on Khal, grabbing his flailing arms and kicking his feet from under him, and still it was hard for all five of them to try and pin him down. Khaldorn hurled curses through his rage. 'What the hells wrong with him?' asked Dar, straining against Khaldorns writhings. 'They got his sister.' muttered Zoolkhan. 'Broadcast it not long since. Khal, settle down!' Zool struggled to keep him down. 'Someone knock him out damnit!' yelled Maggot. Beinrich, on insticnt and an alarming lack of hesitation to say the least, grabbed a steel tankerd from the table near them and swing it on the back of Khaldorns head. Quickly, he slumped unconscious on the floor.
* * * *
Some time later, Khaldorn roused and groaned on a medical bay bed. Darius and Mangold were still in the room, waiting for him to come around. A bandage was wrapped around his head and a drip was feeding a constant sedative into him. Mangold stepped over to the bed as Darius flipped open a small communication PDA. 'Mags, he's up.' Looking back at the bed, Khaldorn just lay there, staring at the ceiling. Darius had been filled in on the details as well as watching the broadcast by PIE. He quickly understood Khaldorns rage. 'Khal, you hear me?' spoke Mangold as Maggot and Zoolkahn entered the room at jogging pace. Khaldorn did not speak, only nodded. Maggot stepped up to the bed. 'We had to put you out Khal,' he said. 'Sorry about that.' Again, Khaldorn said nothing and just stared at the ceiling above his bed. Maggot leaned closer to his face. 'We'll get her back Khal.' Khaldorn quickly turned his head to face Maggot. 'All of us.'
Khaldorn panned his head around the crowd gathered at his bed. The crowd that had grown from just 4 people, to nearly everyone in Freelance Unincorporated. All of us. Once more, for the first time he had known it, Darius could see tears well in Khaldorns eyes.
All of us. ------

to my, i have to admit somewhat limited knowledge, of the SPSC guidlines i guess they don't even apply as the subject murino is not even a slave but a mere captive terrorist...
ah if she only had been turned over to me! i would have squeezed all that knowledge from her like one squeezes a ripe T'sar ki fruit and then would have endulged in her pain that i'd have stirred to unknown heights in my dungeons.... but enough of that *coughs*, this is my more private side.

Quote: To Archbishop: The scenes I have seen you send today are in direct violation of your own SPCS guidelines. The blood of many innocents will be heavy upon your hands, for the bloodrage I feel building in my own people is beyond any I can temper.
Archbishop read the public broadcast of terrorist Sarkos with amusement. Surely Sarkos had heard of the dismantling of the SPCS. Archbishops own announcement that the new Amarrian Slave Traders Association was being formed had mentioned this. The SPCS had served its purpose. But Archbishop had realized with each passing day some were right...... he was too kind to these slaves. Now they would have no choice..... find God or else. It was the right of Amarrian Slavers to treat their own slaves as they saw fit. Slaves coddled and spoiled were more likely to have freetime to rebel. He could treat them with a firmer hand and still not mistreat them.
But the Vice-Admirals thoughts drifted back to the day before.... of the visit to the abandoned station in ...... his memory opened up to the past.....
He remembered his first visit six months ago to the abandoned station. Several representatives of the Theology Council bearing the seal of the Emperor had approached him with a secret communicae. Archbishop had been put in a luxurious but secure internal suite aboard a frigate and flown there totally unaware of his destination. Once arrived he was given a tour of the "facility".
He had never seen such a place and while initially repulsed by some of what he saw he soon came to realize these were the most faithful, the most pious, the most loyal of the Emperor. They were doing His work where others dare not tread. He left the station two days later still absorbing all he had seen.
Soon he began performing little missions for the Emperors faithful. Occasional pickups and deliveries to a mysterious Imperial Armageddon Battleship. The fact these men possessed such a vessel in itself was proof of their loyalty to the Emperor.
"So...... It seems I've struck a nerve" he said smiling as he read the intelligence reports. The spies of Amarr had indicated Khaldorn Murino had to be sedated. While reports were sketchy it appears this Khaminar was a relative of his. He had always suspected it but the inbreeding of the beasts made a determination of any family lineage difficult.
Archbishop went back to his meal. It was out of his hands now anyway. The Order would have their way with the terrorist and she would reveal all she knew about the rebelious Minmatar organization. She would be left a beaten slave, broken in spirit and will, loyally dedicated to God.
Now that THEY had her there was little hope for her.

"Khaminar Murino" didn't sound familiar, but the relavence of things and the surname made it easy to assume she was related to Khaldorn, somehow.
She moved her hand over and ran her fingers through the air, where the projection of a familiar 'record' character floated. She parted her lips slightly as she stared at the reciever, "Revenge for revenge for revenge for revenge... it'll never end if you never let it.
"Think now of'a pain you'll cause, an'of the pain'at you're setting for'ya 'self in the future. Through'ese events, worse ones'll come. Through you're'own designs, you bring yourself down. Seek temper in your actions, else you'll'ave more'an you have now to worry for in'na future.

- Sir, news regarding the rescue just came in. - Well, out with it then, Camar almost yelled as he stood up behind his desk. - The whole taskforce is lost, the young marine said with a nervous tone in his voice. - WHAT!?!, you mean to tell me that 150 special-trained marines got wiped out!?! - Yes sir, either dead or missing in action.
Camar slumped back into his seat, he just couldnÆt believe what he just heard. 150 of his best men had either been killed or captured.
- It seems they were expected, the marine continued. After they had been smuggled aboard the station, hostile forces quickly engaged them. - It is not possible, camar whispered to himself. There is no way they could have known about this.
Out of the 200 elite commandos, on a special mission to take over a station inside the bleak lands, 150 had been diverted on a rescue mission as soon as the news got in that Archbishop had captured a very special enemy.
- New orders to the remaining commandos sergeant, Camar said silently. They shall not try and infiltrate the station anymore, their orders are now to assassinate Archbishop or die trying. Now make sure those orders reach the men before the end of the week.

The day had started perfectly for Archbishop. First word that the production of ammunition at his new Ashab slave farm had tripled with the new motivational techniques he had implimented then word that cousin Monsignor had received a very special assignment.
Sitting back in his study the Vice-Admiral of PIE looked over the days reports. Paperwork was a never ending chore for a flag officer. Suddenly his attache rushed in.
"Sir.. a private communicae on scrambled frequency.. from..." the young Lieutenant looked nervous as Archbishop suddenly focused all his attention on the call.
"Put it through and leave me" said the cloaked Admiral. He watched as the young officer left the room. Against the far wall a painting of the late Emperor Doriam visiting slave children rose into the wall revealing a large monitor. The picture became fuzzy then the image of a black cloaked man appeared.
"Greetings Lord Admiral Archbishop, servant of the Empire" the man said as he bowed. Archbishop rose from his seat and returned the bow then sat back down.
"I have a report for you. While free of the burden of dealing with this terrorist I wanted to keep you posted of our progress" said the robed man as Archbishop raised an eyebrow.
"Most kind please continue" he replied.
"The interogation is proceeding slowly. A fierce opponent this one is. Already we've had to recharge our stunprods for overuse." the man smiled almost sinisterly.
"That is ..... unfortunate....." said Archbishop returning the grin.

"But things go well my friend. Already we learned of an enemy communications frequency. Monitoring it today led to a great Amarrian victory over terrorists" the man said as a replay behind him showed black uniformed Amarrian soldiers mowing down rebels under withering laser fire.
"Excellent.... they will all meet God and answer for their crimes!" said Archbishop. His newfound enthusiasm for his work mounting.
"As we speak Admiral the Viscount is attempting to extract information from the beast. We've allowed her some clothes and food to bring up her confidence....." the picture changed and showed a white robed man interogating the prisoner.
"Once she is comfortable... we will make her very uncomfortable" the man said smiling.
"I am sure you will" replied Archbishop as he watched the interogation proceed. Then the picture was replaced with the image of the man again.
"The plan is proceeding as forseen Admiral. Soon we shall move her to a more secure location. From there she will not return. Such is the way of the Lord" said the mysterious man.
"So it is. God will have his vengence upon the sinners of Matar" replied Archbishop as he raised his wine glass in toast. Rising he said "May our Empire find a new Emperor soon and may your service not go in vain". The man nodded and said a simple "Thank you... and you as well my old friend".
Both nodded to each other as the screen faded to static. The picture of Doriam lowered from the ceiling as Archbishpo sat down and contemplated his new feelings about his work. Gone was the caring generous slave owner of the SPCS. In his place was a new man, dedicated to God and Empire above all else, at whatever the cost. No longer would he be lulled into a sense that the beasts were somehow worthy in the least. He had seen the light.

I have all the humanity toward Amarrians possible. The only difference is now I no longer coddle the beasts in my charge. I myself still treat them kindly. In this case however this slave is also a terrorist thus even if the SPCS were still in existence she would not be protected by its guidelines..... and they were "guidelines" not laws.
My personal herd of 78,000+ slaves still have a very high standard of living and are treated very well. The difference is now I will not be lulled into a false sense of security thinking kindness will turn them toward God.
Recently some slaves of mine rebelled. Led by a Seibestor who I thought was a loyal trustee they killed several guards and slaver hounds and set fire to the dorm where they were housed. I had no idea they were planning this. Yet all the free time I offered them obviously left them time to plot the attack. All the kindness I showed them and opportunities for scripture studies were for naught as they rampaged through the plantation.
I take the blame for this. My blindness toward the true nature of the beasts is responsible. I still treat the slaves with humanity BUT I also recognize their inherent inferiority and tendency toward evil. No longer will unrestricted freetime be allowed. No longer will any Minmatar type tribal traditions be tolerated. No longer will I trust any Minmatar to help police the herds. The rank of Trustee no longer exists in my world. They are all slaves. Until they reach true enlightenment and are released as Ammatar I will not be fooled again.
So you see I am very humane Sarkos. The only difference is I've also opened my eyes.

Brothers... you hearten me with your words and actions but this is just one person, the fact that she is my sister should not put her above others in our quest for our peoples freedom.
Makkar, do not do this. I could not bear the shame of a loss of a great leader.
I am Matari, and as such I will deal with this myself, and rest assured Archbishop, I will be paying you a visit soon. And once I have beaten the location of my sister out of you, i will deal with these men.
Until then brothers, i beseech you, do not risk more lives for one person.

Takitoo blinks at her viewscreen while the newsfeed rolls by. Her eyes narrow at it and one second later it explodes in a mess of shrapnel. "Those damn animals ! Gah !"
Normally Takitoo wasn't much of a freedom fighter, or patriot but she was loyal to her government. A loyalty that could best be described as shaken, now. After all, which self respecting government would stand idly by while it's citizens, guilty or not were tortured publicly.
Ten minutes later all systems aside from the reprograming routine and life support inside the crippled Rifter were shut down and all CPU power was routed to repairing the damaged nav computer. And one particularly angered Sebiestor was brooding in the dim red emergency lighting over Ammar military doctrine and ship readouts.

Khaldorn - my apologies if I seemed to not take this seriously enough - despite the match of the surname I did not realise she was your sister. It would appear some trickery has been done with concords docking records and my agent was mislead.
Your stance towards this matter is brave and honorable, warrior of the U'K. May the Fire of Maat anneal your heart and steel your will for retribution.
Takitoo - aye, I too cannot understand why the leaders of the Republic act as they do ... I have not forgotten the words of the Prime Minister upon the death of the Amarr Emperor. How can I respect one who voices dismay at such a time when she could have voiced joy?

CVA's Immorality Exposed
One would be hard pressed to discover a finer example of the CVA's alleged moral superiority. Your organization's vulgar display of inhumanity is an affront to everything our alliance holds dear, and I loathe to ponder you spreading the idea that this barbarism is acceptable to those that respect you. Consider this a formal nullification of any agreement the Syndicate had with your organization.
May you rot in whatever damnable place you believe in.

Edited by: Gaven Lok''ri on 05/11/2005 06:56:29 How interesting Ms Doyle.
Though I would have you know that these actions are not the CVA's but rather this unit that V Adml Archbishop has developed contacts with, had I captured her she would have been either taken into solitary confinement or excecuted cleanly as she was too dangerous to release. I pity the poor girl myself, though I must point out that she WAS a terrorist. Even though I still pray for her soul.
Not that I mind you nullifying your contract with us, I am not sure that I ever believed that you intended to honor it in the first place. Though I hope you enjoy makeing these actions even more common by removing copies of a book that would have told Amarr to avoid such actions from the public.
Wouldnt that be amusing, when the very act of renedgeing on your contract causes you to make events like this even more common.
As for the question of why Midular lets things like this happen and mourns people like Doriam II. Well that almost requires a thread to itself... but let me try to explain quickly.
The beloved Doriam II was a reformer. He stood for such ideals as the society for prevention of cruelty to slaves. Yet he was killed anyway, freedom fighters attacked Amarr anyway.
So as a result Doriam's killers have caused a backlash towards older practices, a prime example of which you can see here. Midular is smart for a heathen, and she knew that Doriam represented a future of progress towards complete peace if anyone did, and that with his death an era of uncertainty, chaos, and quite possibly war would be ushered in. I hope that God has another way avalible to accomplish this, but it is quite possible that with Doriams death the chance for peace has been destroyed. You see, your average Amarran sees Doriams death as a clear signal that God no longer supports the peaceful philosophy he practiced.
Can you blame Midular for being sad that a leader who was working to avoid a war that will kill billions was killed early? Or are you so blind to Amarran culture that you did not see that you were attacking a liberal regime.
Yes, every last terrorist attack in the last 2 years has been an attack on a regime that was willing to FREE slaves. It has been an attack on a regime that wished peace.
Every last terrorist attack on Amarr has been moving the wars closer, and slowing down any movements to free slaves. If I didnt know better, I would say you freedom fighters would rather have war than freedom for as many slaves as possible. Or wait, that is what you want, isnt it?
Gaven looks tired
Perhaps Archbishop is right. Perhaps it is time to give up the ideals of the Pax Amarria. But until God gives us a sign with the appointment of the next Emperor I will continue to pray for the souls of those who fall so pointlessly.
I want peace, and if it means killing every last 'freedom fighter' who couldnt see the political reality of their actions if it slapped them in the face, so be it. And if God appoints an Emperor who says that this return to the old path is indeed right, again, so be it.
God's will, will be done.
God is with us. |

I myself have not completely given up the Pax Amarria. I am still humane but more vigilant in dealing with my own livestock. I myself do not advocate some of the harsher random beatings and gladiator games of some slavers.
Still I also realize a terrorist is much different from a slave. At least at first before they're converted.
As for the people I've developed contacts I disavow any knowledge of thier actions. They are not part of the CVA. Indeed Admiral Gaven Lok'ri is correct the backlash resulting from the murder of Doriam II has created a new climate of vengence in some Amarr. As a peaceful reformer Doriam II should've been honored by other races. Instead he was murdered.
It is no fault of ours if some factions of Amarrian society take this personally and as a result develop "other" approaches to deal with threats to the Empire.

What's interesting, dear Admiral, is your fickle nature in adhering to an ideal on a whim and changing it on another. If the death of a single man, your Emperor, the man who wrote the Pax Amarria, spurns your hatred to commit such barbarities I believe your true nature never really strayed far from such activities in the first place.
This supposed holy man, Archbishop, who lies within your ranks and conspires with even more violent individuals does so freely and openly with your support and thus bear the burden of responsibility on his behalf. Not only that, but your service to the Empire sets a precedent for other aspiring pro-Empire paramilitaries to follow suit in such behavior, and that's something the Syndicate cannot sit idly by and passively condone.
Nay, it is you who cannot be trusted when one presents themselves in such a reprehensible manner to the general public with a vulgar display like this. How can one such as yourself be trusted when his minions desecrate the ideals of human compassion and empathy? How pious can you truly be when you hypocritically commit to the equivalent level of violence as your 'terrorist' opposition, with whom you claim to be superior? It's all a farce and events such as these satisfy your conscience to indulge your perversities and justify those tendencies toward violence.
Quite the contrary, I am relieved to be rid of our agreement with your organization and eternally grateful your atrocities were made public sooner than later. Unlike you I hide behind no God to quell my conscience(if you possess one) and take responsibility for my actions. I do hope you're prepared to atone for your actions and realize if there ever existed any hope for peace, your behavior all but evaporated that opportunity forever.
Congratulations.

I judge men on their actions, I judge corporations by their actions, and I judge political entities by their actions.
I have no issue at all with peace, I would like nothing more than to return to my home-world and raise a family.
But I look about me and what do I see? Empty rhetoric of peace with the over hanging threat of billions dieing in war. Lets face reality here - there is no genocidal war, the Amarr saw the end of that when they enslaved all those they could subjagate.
I see women naked and chained. I see psychological abuse.
These actions are what I judge.
The now dead Emperor may have spoke of freeing slaves but the reality of action is far different. Hollow words from a hollow man.
My own Prime-minister speaks of freeing slaves, yet she mourns the death of the hollow Emperor? I free slaves from scum who treat them like cattle and I am fined and have my reputation stained by my own Republic?!
Hollow words from a hollow woman.
These people do not rule, if so their words would be law, their decisions reality. If the Emperor wanted to free slaves he could simply give the command. If the Republic wanted to free slaves they could refuse to comprimise on that point. At worse we would risk death.
There is honor in death, where is the honor in torture? There is honor in comittment to brotherhood, where is the honor in treating people like cattle?
We are judged by our actions. -----------------------------------------

the Pax Amarria was written by HEIDERAN VII, the decree on the "human" treatment of slaves was issued by DORIAM II. we do not reject either of this! terrorists can not be deemed human and therefore none of the rights granted to human beings can and will be applied to them.

What a farce.
This is not an isolated incident. If it were, I could understand the shock, outrage, and displays of transient and insubstantial solidarity from pilots outside of Ushra'Khan. This is merely a more publicised account of what happens every damned day in that accursed empire.
Every damned day pilots working for the Republic fleet and other such concerns intercept and destroy Amarrian slave raiders operating in Republic space.
Every damned day, in spite of these efforts, whole families still go missing, never to be seen again.
Every damned day the sort of tortures and depravities so dramatised and glorified by Archbishop are taking place within the Amarr empire.
Every damned day the "right thinking" galactic community puts it's fingers in it's ears, hums a tune, and ignores what is happening right under it's nose, until some dispicable Amarrian beast decides to crow about it.
If the moral outrage in this thread is real, then join alongside the Ushra'Khan and help end this sort of thing.
End it now.

Edited by: Gaven Lok''ri on 06/11/2005 19:58:59 You think so short term, Murino.
Yes you might have indeed freed more individual slaves than Doriam would have released. But had you not been attacking, the Pax Amarria doctarine would seem more logical now. After all, if the heathen refuses to make peace when the olive branch has been give... why bother trying?
Every time you attacked, you helped reinforce the idea that your kind are savages in the average Amarran's mind. Every time you attacked you made more Amarran holders support not the Pax, but the reclaiming.
So yes, you may have freed more slaves in the short run than Doriam. But in doing so you have increased popular support for the enslavement of your people in the long term.
You will never even come close to ending slavery if you try to do it by the sword. You will only kill some slaves, and free others, and then watch as across the empire in that single day more babies are born into slavery than you just freed and killed, and more Amarrans decide that the only good Matari is an enslaved one.
In the long term the sword only strengthens the cause of slavery. Of course, as long as God supports it, the pen wont work either. But it has at least some chance of success, as opposed to attempting genocide.

"Admiral an urgent message" the communications officer shouted as the Prophecy TES Divine Retribution sped toward Amarr.
"Ill take it in my office" said Vice-Admiral Archbishop as he rose from his command chair and walked through the double golden doors bearing the crest of Amarr into his private office. Standing before the desk he said "Computer, open secure communication, Archbishop beta seven three nine". "Identity confirmed" said the computer as a screen moved down from the ceiling.
A black robed figure appeared on the screen.
"Admiral... how are you feeling today?" asked the robed figure.
"I am well... better than in ages... why do you ask?" replied the Admiral smiling slightly.
"Well we had heard some reports of strange goings on at one of your plantations" said the cloaked man as two others joined him on the screen.
"I have come to realize that slavery is the epitome of Enlightenment and to do our best as Slavers we must bring all slaves to God. I have merely made the choice that brutality has no place in my herds.". The cloaked men looked puzzelled.
"So what of your work for us?" one asked as the other nodded slowly.
"Don't worry. I will not forget my duty to the Empire. I serve the Emperor and His will" replied Archbishop.
"That is good. We were worried. By the way the interogation of Khaminar Murino is nearly complete". One of the black robed men said as the others smiled beneath their hoods.
"Oh really... have you obtained any useful information?" asked the Admirl suddenly interested.
"Yes we have. Our methods are a bit harsh but bore much fruit from the tree of intelligence. Now the slave is of no use to us. We are going to terminate her".
Archbishop thought for a moment. True the slave was a terrorist and deserved to die a thousand deaths.
"Will you give her to me instead? I would like the opportunity to turn her into a truly enlightend soul". asked Archbishop.
"An interesting proposal. Can you care for her?" asked the man. "Yes of course. I have over 78,000 slaves. What is one more?".
"Hmmm it might be a good symbol. Imagine the sister of Khaldorn Murino a compliant servant of God" the black robed man said as his two comrades nodded in agreement.
"Yes I think that can be arranged. I will send a courier with infomation regarding transfer of the prisoner. I am sure she will serve you well".
"Thank you" said Archbishop bowing to the man.
The screen blacked to static then off and silently rose into the ceiling. Archbishop knew he had a challenge ahead. But he knew turning the sister of Khaldorn Murino into an enlightend happy slave would send a powerful symbol to all Minmatar that God was beyond resistance.

Walking back onto the bridge of the Battlecruiser Archbishop nodded to his communications officer. "Open a channel to Chaven" he ordered. "Aye sir" came the response from the young Ensign.
A figure appeared on the screen standing on a platform elevated near what appeared to be a large construction project.
"Yes my Lord?" said the foreman as Archbishop sat in his command chair.
"How goes the construction?" asked the Admiral. The foreman turned and nodded as the camera panned back to show what appeared to be several large dorm buildings under construction.
"Very well my Lord as you can see. The dorms will be complete next week and ready for the slaves to move in to".
"Excellent! With such accomodations the slaves will remain healthy. No more pens and holding sheds. My slaves will live and study in the comfort of the finest slave dorm in Amarr!". Archbishop smiled as he watched the scene on the camera. Below the platform several slaves were looking at the construction drones assembling the building and talking excitedly. He could see they were amazed at their new accomodations.
"Will there be anything else my Lord?" asked the foreman as the camera panned back to a closeup of him on the platform.
"Yes. I am expecting a new slave to be delivered in about a week. This is a very special slave. One who has been interogated...... by....... The Order".
The foreman gasped at the mention of the sacred Order of the Emperor.
"I'm sure she is not in the best of condition but she has provided the Empire with valuable intelligence she gained while a terrorist" continued the Admiral.
"Is this the terrorist I heard rumors about? Is she really the sister of..." "Yes she is" Archbishop cut him off in mid sentence.
"I realize he is a terrorist. But she is here to be enlightend. While we will watch her we must realize her well being and enlightenment take top priority. When she arrives have her transported to the medical facilities immediately. She will undoubtedly need care".
"Yes my Lord" said the foreman.... still in disbelief at what he was hearing.
"She will be welcomed into my herd and enlightend. Someday she may even become Ammatar and be freed. While The Order had their own methods of discipline we shall not take that road. As long as she is compliant we will treat her as any other slave" Archbishop emphazised the point by slamming his fist on the armrest of his command chair.
"I understand Admiral. It will be as you have ordered" said the foreman.
"Very well. Thank you" said the Admiral as the screen faded back to a starview.
The bridge crew looked puzzled at the recent turn of events. Their Admiral was for a time angry at the world, but now things were different, he had regained his focus and purpose.
Archbishop stood and left the bridge. Making the short walk to his quarters he entered the suite and stood looking out the viewport as the ship entered warp. Stars flew by the window as the Battlecruiser headed for Sarum Prime.
Sitting on a gilded sofa he reached over and took a bottle of wine from a small cooler. Pouring himself a glass he sat back and thought about the future that awaits Khaminar Murino. His newest slave was certain to be hostile after her experience with The Order.
The Order... the secret society of the Emperors servants. Sworn to loyalty with their lives. Once Archbishop felt he could become one of them. But now, seeing God again as he did in his youth, he knew there was another way. He would always be a servant of God and Emperor and always obey His will. But he would always be a man of God as well.

Thats right. Nothing.
It makes me laugh how you presume to know more about us, than us. You continue to be complelty ignorant about the people you tried to destroy, the culture you raped and the children you commit to a life of servitude and misery.
I know that left to their own devices, the Minmatar invariably rebel against their leadership. Take a look at the PRoM, or at your own attitude to your government. No discipline, that's your problem.
I know that when we first encountered your people, Pator was wracked by the worst storm in its history.
A storm? Yes, that does show we were doomed to self extintion. A storm. Perhaps that storm was a warning from our spirits about your invason? Perhaps. At least we have not, in my knowledge, ever assassinated our leader. Nor has a section of our Republic removed it'self to create it's own empire.
Go back to your scriptures and reinforce your false beliefs that you are Gods chosen and thus superior. Don't let the Jove defeat or the successfull rebellion of 'inferiors' or the destruction of many of your ships at the hands of these 'inferiors' sway you from this lie.
Meanwhile we will maintain our indominable Will that refuses to allow the Minmatar people to become another side note in Amarr history.

Not assassinated your leaders? Does the Nefantar tribe mean nothing to you?
Passing over the Thukker tribe, who left your Republic before it was even formed, have you forgotten about the failed People's Republic of Minmatar so quickly?

The slave catches the whip. Specture "Boy, you better let go or i am going to have to show you what pain is all about." "Do you know what it is like to slowly decompress in space?"
Slave "No master i am sorry please nooooooo noooooooooooo"
Spectures hired caretenders used his slaver hounds to gather up 100 slaves to the nearest station airdock.
Specture "Let this be a lesson to all you no good filthy, slimy, puny brained creatures."
Specture then went over two meters to the nearest wall and pushes a button. There were 100 slaves in the decompresion chamber that frigates use to undock through. Women and children are ammong them. they all experianced what it is like to decompress as well as the slave that challenged him.
Now you think that way of punishing slaves/terroist is bad? Mabey mabey not. But let this be a reminder to ALL slaves in Delve that pick my ammarian wheat, do not challenge my authority or you will be with your ancestors, or what ever you filth belive in. And to all Ammarian slave owners, dont underestimate the cruelty of some Intakis, we can be a very very very cruel people. Slaver Cruetly Ftw O/

The pain was intense. Weeks of being interogated at the hands of these monsters had reduced Khaminar to a shell of the woman she was. Death seemed a preferable escape to the endless torment. She had tried to resist but eventually the information spilled from her lips as she could not resist the beatings and mind control drugs administered to her by these satans in black robes.
Lying in the corner of her cell she tried to brush away the rat that nibbled at her ankle. The heavy chains, now seeming much heavier then when she arrived, still clamped around her wrists and ankles limited her movement and prohibited her from standing.
"Hey dog heres your food" said a robed guard as he poured some slop from a bucket into a bowl just inside the cage door. Khaminar, struggling for energy, crawled over and began to eat from the bowl as the Amarrian devil stood watch over her.
"Bad dog!" the man said as the electroprod he shoved through the bars of the cage shocked her. She flailed limply as she lay in agony.
"You didn't say grace you heathen!" the man said spitting the words out on her naked body through the bars of the cage.
Knowing what must be done Khaminar kneeled and said grace to the God of Amarr. The words bit her soul like fire as they came from her lips. When completed she looked up at her keeper who simply nodded then she devoured the slop from the food bowl.
The dark, damp, musty cell reeked with the stench of waste and other Minmatar. At night the screams and pleas for mercy kept her awake late at night as her brethern were forced to reveal secrets of the terrorist organization and beg for God's help. She had seen some leave the cells never to return.
The slop finished she sat back and sobbed quietly. Her dignity gone, her life in ruins, her soul stolen by these satan Amarrians she tried to figure a way to take her own life..... to end the torment. But there was none. Always under surveilance suicide was not an option. She would not leave this universe until they decided it was time.
Closing her eyes she drifted back in time to a day when she ran through the mountains of Matar. Her hair blowing in the breeze. Sitting around a campfire with her tribe signing the songs of freedom and telling stories of the ancients and life in a free Minmatar Republic. Khaminar found comfort in knowing they could break her body and spirit but never steal her memories of home.
Suddenly she opened her eyes as she sensed the presence of someone watching her. Standing over her outside the cell stood a man in a long brown imperial robe adorned with gold trim. She crawled into a corner when she saw him......
"No, no, please keep away, no!!" she sobbed imaging what evil he had in store for her.
"What in the name of God is this???" the man yelled. "Clean her up!!!... Get the doctor!!!!". The cell door clanked open and she felt the shakles fall away as she was lifted onto a stretcher. As she looked into the face of the robed Amarrian she saw a look of compassion not expected at all. Then the darkness overtook her.
Khaminar was brought to the medical ward of the secret station of The Order. Put in a coma she was treated and brought back to health.
"It will be about a week until she is ready to travel" said the doctor to the robed stranger.
"See that it is done." said the man as he turned to the two representatives of The Order standing nearby.
"God would never approve of this. Nor do I. She is coming with me as we agreed.".
The men looked at him with vacant expressions then one said "We do what we must for Amarr. We have what she knows."
The man looked at them in sorrow and said "If we act like barbarians we are no better then those we would save".
Taking one last look at the near dead body on the stretcher he hung his head in shame and sorrow at what had happend.
Only then did a saddend Archbishop of PIE walk from the room.

The new Apocalypse class Battleship TES Holy Vengence, flagship of Vice-Admiral Archbishop, cruised through Hedion on its way to Chaven. Sitting aboard the bridge in his command chair Archbishop of PIE Corporation relaxed as he watched the starfield move slowly toward the ship on the view screen. The crew of his primary ship, a Prophecy Battlecruiser, numbered 1,450 Amarrian faithful. These officers and crew transferred temporarily between ships while a permanent company of 5,646 Amarrians were assigned to the Apocalypse fulltime.
From several tiers below the control platform a voice sounded out "Sir, incoming communication from Dr. Venkash". The chief communications officer patched through the signal to the port viewscreen and the visage of an Amarrian doctor towered over the bridge.
"Admiral, the patient will be ready to move in five days, can you arrange pickup?" the doctor asked. In the background could be seen a Minmatar woman resting quietly on a bed in a cell.
"Yes that will be fine, say in six days, I will send a small fleet to transport the slave to my pens on Chaven" Archbishop replied. "I hope she is doing well?" he asked.
"Yes she is recovering nicely". Looking back nervously he whispered "They tried to take her again to interogate but I stopped them". The doctor quickly looked around again before nodding.
"Oh really? I was under the assumption they had extracted what they needed?".
"Yes sir, but I think this was purely for punishment, that is why I was successful in stopping them" the doctor replied.
"Thank you Doctor and keep me posted. I shall send a fleet to pickup the patient in six days. I will inform you of the exact time shortly". Archbishop concluded as he watched the doctor bow on the viewscreen. Arcbishop nodded in reply and the signal ended.
Soon the slave would begin the long process of enlightenment. While she would resist he was determined to show her the grace and gifts of a loving God. She would be enlightend. It was her destiny.

I do not support slavery, and within my own borders I voraciously hunt down those who would traffic and deal in slavery.
However nor do I support terrorism, those who dilberatley target and kill innocent men women and children deserve every punishment the dark corners of the human mind can imagine.
Furthermore I do not hold with religeon, even here the report shows that the insane and evil jailers back their actions as those sanctioned by their God.
Well let me tell you that were I to ever discover the location of this hidden base I should dearly like to see it destroyed.
Archbishop you are to be commended on your compassion in this case, I have long followed your career, since the days of the SF vs CVA war, I only hope that your bothers and sisters of the Amarrian empire come to realise their folly in making themselves dependent on slaves for thier every need.
It makes them weak, and dishonounable in the eyes of true warriors. Unless things change for the freedom of the billions then one day they will rise up and destroy the empire.
Without visonaries such as yourself this day may come sooner than you might think.
