Alright, so I'm curious how many of you actually do or do not want Incarna to be fully realized with Station Environments and whatnot, and the best way I can figure doing this is with a poll. Now, since we don't have an option for polls on this forum, I figure we can use the "like" buttons.
LIKE this post if you DO WANT Establishments and other Station Environments.
And I know some of you are going to come and accuse me of "like" whoring or something stupid like that, so to you I say.. If you actually care about how many "likes" somebody has on an Internet Forum, you have issues. That isn't my goal, I just figure it's easier than making an external poll that people will be too lazy to go to or something.
EDIT: Please keep in mind, I'm not asking if you want them RIGHT NOW. I'm asking if you EVER want them or not. |

YES! This was one of the reasons I played EVE I was looking forward to WiS and the game becoming more than just a spread sheet game with a poorly designed and tacked on space ship sim.

I don't think it's actually been established how many do or do not want them. All we know is that the people who don't/didn't were the loudest.
But I've seen a few threads, myself included, of people complaining now that CCP dropped Establishments from this Winter, so I'm curious as to how many people actually do and do not want them. I figure this is the easiest way to tell. |

I don't think it is that simple really.
Of course the majority wants WiS, etc, but most people if given the choice, would prefer time/money spent on the things we already have and improving them. Fix everything else before adding something new.

1) Did the statistical analysis of running such an internet poll?
2) Checked that you have a fair and balanced demographic to poll?
No? You actually picked a cheap, "get rich quick hot topic", lined up with the "cool" guys and expect "likes" for your hard work.

I'd like to agree, but sometimes that doesn't seem to be the case. I see a lot of people say they don't want Station Environments outside of Ship Spinning at all and that anybody that does should go to Second Life, which is just ridiculous honestly.
I just really want to know if the majority truly do or don't want these things. The "poll" doesn't ask if you want them now or ten years from now, just if you want them at all. |

Well, these are the EVE Forums, so I don't really know where else I should be asking.
Also, I don't know what you mean by "get rich quick hot topic", are you talking about likes? Because I couldn't care less about likes. I figure since we have them and no polls, might as well put them to use for something. They're entirely useless otherwise :/ |

If CCP could manage to provide proper and consistent updates to both WiS and FiS, would more people want WiS around? Or would the FiS folks simply demand even MORE attention paid to FiS, again ending up with WiS abandoned?

I figure folks like you, who respond with this, don't play EVE to "Roleplay" in any way? You treat EVE like a typical FPS or video game in general?
I think those of us that do want WiS are the people who like to "Roleplay" somewhat. Stations would simply add to how we can pretend to be Space Captains or something. |

You say they took away establishments and whatnot from the upcoming winter expansion, you realise they were supposed to be in the incarna expansion.

I want gameplay and player tools. If that happens to come in the form of WiS, then excellent. If not, also excellent. WiS without any of those is worthless, a waste of resources, and directly harmful to the game.

Yes CCP should work on station environments/establishments when there are no longer any broken/poor game mechanics and bugs in 0.0, low sec, WH, or high sec space. |
