As you may have noticed of late the IC are trying very hard to bring out more news and keep everyone up to date on what happened, with who and where. To continue writing on all the large events, either started by players, aurora or CCP we need more reporters.
We need dedicated, capable writers that are willing to report on events, both player and npc. These are the criteria you need to conform to in order for us to consider you:
- 18 years or older
- Be creative and a team player
- A good grasp of eveÆs Prime Fiction
- A good grasp of where the different factions, player and NPC, stand
- Write and understand the English language
If you are interested in being a part of the eve news team, please fill in the ISD application form, and select Aurora. Then, e-mail us at [email protected] and I will review your application as soon as possible. If you do not mail me after it my dearest colleagues might snatch you up before I have a chance. If you already have an application in please update it, and mention you are interested in joining the IC.
The benefits are that you are a part of a great friendly bunch of volunteers, you get to talk to me, you can ask people annoying questions about issues they rather forget sometimes and write something stunning.

When you 'update' your application it notifies the team-leads you are still interested, and shows that you have recently re-applied. I can't comment for the other team leads, but If I look at an application that is quite old, I won't offer an interview unless the person has re-applied recently - simply because you do not know if they are still interested. Based on the amount of applications we get, its simply not possible to drop everyone a personal email asking if they are.

I fale at the english language 
I'm an expert on npc factions and politics, but player factions and their politics change quicker that the sun rises and sets. ( well I have a firm grasp of hypocrisy does that count for anything? )

 I once applied to join ISD....never got to the interview stage (I was asked) ...and now I`m unsure if I should re-apply (I play the game too much)

any idea what CCP's stance is on potential ISD staff who are linked to another MMORG's company? I applied, but sort of put the processes on hold a few weeks back because I've ended up working on projects with staff members of a certain scottish MMO designer... and sort of suspect that CCP would see that as a conflict of interest... and wondering if I should continue or hold off till after february when the project ends.
(and yes, this is posted under an alt I.D I rarely use... I'm sure staff can check the alt and know who the applicant is :) )

If you have enough time to write two articles a week, sure. Mind you it does take up preparation time as well.

No you will not have to sacrifice a slot on your own private account. You will get a volunteer account on which you can create a single character needed for reporting the news.
