For the third time in a week, I logged on to realize I forgot I had a skill finishing, and lost hours of training. Today was 4 hours, a few days ago was 3, and 4 or 5 days ago I lost 10 hours.
I typically cuss loudly, and then realize I'm wasting time swearing when I should be choosing a new skill. After I pick one I often complain to my friends on MSN who have no idea what Eve is, but they pretend to care, and that makes me a little happier.

I put on Caldari Battleship 5 and promise to never forget again, before getting out my birch and whipping myself as a form of penitance to the great Eve Gods.

i keep suggesting a 24 hour flood over after youre last login - and if a skill runs out a maxiumum of 24 hour spillover on a random skill (good for dt's etc) after 24 hours it stops and requires u to log in (removes exploiting etc) but still allows some respite for those that loose skill trainings for unexpected server outages

Swear on the public channels, get banned for 3 weeks, and then realise that 4 hours is _nothing_ :)

Well after losing some hours I decided to only train long skills while I'm away so I can't loose more time, the shorter skills are only trained when I'm online and will be for a while.
So basicly random server outages are the only thing that can steal hours from me, but thankfull they didn't, cause I had decided on a 2 day skill last night

Well, you log on and put another skill into training.
P.S. I've lost around 6 months of training (Around 4300 hours) already! =) --- Home, sweet home. |

Edited by: Abraxus on 09/11/2005 09:53:09 I've lost 3 months of training! I thought I had cancelled my susbscription while I was at uni but when I came back in the holiday's my account was still active!
Now THATS annoying especially when I had been paying for those 3 months on top of that.

Realise I've missed skill time (yet again), panic and fumble around trying to set another one asap so I don't waste any more time, grumble and complain to Corp & friends, add it to the total of time lost (over 2 months now) and sigh, get on with blasting something. |

Edited by: TuRtLe HeAd on 09/11/2005 10:10:51 Errr, Start the skill training ?
Its not really that bad now is it ! I've got 26 million skill points, I should have closer to 30 million, But I started training Learning skills to late. I've also not had a skill training for 3 months before. Due to leaving EvE.
4 Hours 4 Days 4 Weeks is NOTHING.
Normally I'd just go to the Pub, and pick up where I left off when I get back drunk. ------------------------------------------------ "Its not Feasible to Dismiss an Idea because of lag" |

Maybe just maybe, If you have a skill that is less then 5hrs away from completion. You may que another?
Just a thought Regards

Start a skill - true its annoying but really 4hrs isnt that long, its dangerous to schedule your real life around when your skill runs out!

I generally just enter the help channel, find someone with 14 base charisma and laugh at their face. Then I start training a skill.

Have a day and night skill. Day time train the one you want to keep an eye on (Say level 2 to level 3) for nights have ones that go for 9 or 3 days.. pretty simple.
