I joined a small corp some days ago. Being the only one able to fly Indys, and having the BPOs for small Hybrid ammo. I became the main supplyer for ammo. So I fly around from Corp Hangar to Corp Hangar hauling Loot, Ore and Ammo. Doing 50+ Jumptravel every one or two days, is a real pain. I could use the time better.
It would be nice to have some remote control for your ships, to send them around between the Corp Hangars and to transver cargo between ship and Hangar.
I don't want ships to fight, mine, collect ore from cans or doing missions on remote control. Remote cargo hauling between the Corp Hangars would be enough.

Edited by: Deja Thoris on 13/11/2005 08:51:18 Well, instead of changing the game to suit you have you tried adapting to the game?
- Get others to train up to use an indy. - Why do you need to be spread out over a 50 jump circuit? - Buy ammo or copy off bpcs and give the bpcs out - Make more ammo per run
Am I missing something here but I see 100 options as viable alternatives?
Edit: Oh, and this game is meant to be fun. If you are the logistics slave for your corp and not having fun then I suggest you change corps or redefine your role.

Edited by: Strikeclone on 13/11/2005 12:03:59 well far from flaming someone trying to come up with a novel idea lets try to add to the discussion like adults. Inversa I dont do much hauling these days, but having played games like elite and the like I have seen that many of those games have a remote control and auto pilot options for cargo ships, I would think this a very cool idea.
Prehaps with some additional skills to train and modules to allow a pilot to give simple navigational commands to an industrial ship (and only an industrial) likek "move to XXX system" or "move to XXX waypoint" etc
I think with some limits like skills required and modules fitted to controling ship this could really help add to the depth and allow us to realise that we are actually controling a massive star ship in a verse wide game, not a single avatar with afew hench men.
Further more if it was limited to player corp pilots only and the industrial ship is targetable under the same criteria as the owner IE war decs etc.
/signed with some extra work

Why don't you just make drone haulers? You put them in your drone bay, open up their cargo bays, put in your loot, undock, launch them and they tag along?

Skills for remote controll are a good idia. Ever better would be a Remote control device to fitt into a hightslot, and a limited range for remote control (20 jumps between docking with a corp hangar, skills for the range, for the number of remote ships...)

the only one that hauls...???
Either the rest are total nOObs or there just lazy and got u slaved
If there newbs, buy em some indy skillbooks and let them train haulers.
If they don't want to, well, we still have room for a haulerpilot that wants to do something else for a change as well.

too much afk not enough playing.
sounds like an "I win" button for intra company commerce.
there are other options that work now. TotensBurntCorpse Likes EVE, Starfleet Command Series, Earth & Beyond, Anything Battlefield, MOHAA, Call of Duty.
Dislikes Not much. |

Let eve move it, and then reverse the charge to the corp. or perhapse its time for the company to buy you freighter and you to put more time between your runs out.
You would be making more money for the corp hauling ore than moving low/no margin ammo. Work smarter not harder

Talk is cheap, whisky costs money. you got any cash? |
