Can all the devs PLEASE try flying from a fringe system such as LX5K-W or XW2X-V or 3-QYVE to a core system such as Amarr or Jita under the new changes in a battleship (perferably a scorp, and without nanos in lows) and then back to that same system?
If your still content on this action, at least give us the ability to construct Stargates at POSes and link them to another player constructed stargate. Simply have them use 5000 CPU and 2500000 Grid so any POS large tower can use em but the tower couldnt fit much else. This would allow allainces to link there space up more effectively and link back to empire for buying/selling without having to spend the whole day to do it.

whine 4tw aint going to change what CCP are doing what youre going to have to do is invite ISS in or build an outpost and use that as a trading post - thats what CCP will say. Use industrials to haul the stuff in to youre outpost and setup a trading station heck even invite nearby friendly alliances to trade into youre space reducing some of the risk. Do what FIX does sit back in their space and let others do the trading

I hate travelling as much as anyone but he's right.
It'd be like me driving to manchester (50 miles) to get my shopping - wtf - that sucks I need a rocket car that goes at 200mph and no traffic jams or junctions please.
I think Freighters and outposts were put in before this for a reason - they want us to spread out!

But you don't have to fly all the way back to empire for buying and selling.
You have all the tools you need to set up production locally. Or at least, will have once POS manufacturing is implemented (assuming it works of course :))
Single outpost or station to use as a freighter drop off point, for months of fuel/mins at a time, and there you go.
OK, so there's still the ratting loot etc., but ... well that freighter has to go back that way too.
Although I must admit, I like the POS jumpgate idea too :)

Maybe they want us all to stay relatively static to help them with load prediction? Afterall, it'll hard to jump a fleet of BS down to a battle unless you take them in a freighter which will mean the blobs on the map will remain more constant. -- We are the Octavian Vanguard www.octavianvanguard.net

If the folk out in 0.0 stopped killing everyone they saw and started building outposts that anybody could use then the market would come to you. You could even get docking fees to boot.
Being able to insta jump back to empire because you can't organise any infrastructure or create any trade routes is a cop out.

Hes right, everyone is fustrated flying back to empire, but we all have to do it. Buy two battlehips or build an outpost

Guess that would help if instas will be gone as long it have some cost per jump.

I agree. Some infrastructure would make some of those systems out there interesting. Different roles, more corporations, could mean more competition and pvp on different levels. More interaction with other corporations or heck, maybe even get to know some of the corporations in your own alliance you never pay attention to that might be able to get you out of this bind.
It's worth a try. Not to mention, you might not want to do the long route back and forth from 0.0 to Secure Empire, but I am pretty sure someone WANTS to legitmately do that route for you for a fee. Sure it means finding someone trustworthy, dependable, and reliable and might have to dip your hand into the coffers, but hey, the economy always takes risks like that in order to make a profit.

Unfortunatly, you do have to fly back to empire. You cannot manufacture BPOs or skills in 0.0, no matter what outposts you build, also, as long as everyone with T2 bpos keeps them in empire or at least the vast majority of them in empire, most T2 stuff is going to have to be bought in empire.
And if your a realist like me, your gonna need to be exporting something to make up for that cost deficit, whether it is faction modules, named modules, or high end minerals to the market rich empire regions.

Im glad to hear they are thinking about making it, but things can be in development for a long time. For example Titans have been in development for approximately 3 years.
I am simply asking Devs to try out the changes so they know what we are gonna be facing before they publish it, and give is means of reducing travel time. _______________________________________________

GAH - don't fly battleships back and forth.
I fly a Prorator back and forth to my battleships on both ends. Actually the prorator is the fastest tech 2 ship to fly back and forth for me on my 66 jump round trip from core system to my current "home". The 9Au/sec warp speed coupled with low slot nanos and a mwd make even systems without insta jumps just fly by extrememly fast. Plus the prorator gets 3800 m3 of cargo back and forth as well. I bet the BS flying that route would take 3x to 4x longer - which is why I dont do that.
Preperation for the long trip is a must: 1) Bio-break before leaving. 2) Really good CD to listen to while flying loaded up 3) ~1 hour of uninteruppted attention needed to the game 4) No gate camps in action
There you go...much easier than the 50B isk you will need to build your own jumpgates. |

Well the least they can do is put the "nerf" and the "fix" in game at the same time.
Lets drop instas and then put a new groovy tool in (paired stns) soon (tm) i.e the year 2026.
