I am surprised they seem to have dropped the idea altogether until later on. I was expecting the big interface with Dust players to be part of Incarna content...somewhere where you can see a tactical map of what's going on on the ground during Dust operations. Seems a bit hard to coordinate over the chat alone when you have no visualization of what's occurring. Maybe they will build that into the planetary display somehow instead? |

I`ve been playing EVE since summer 2003. I`m one of the few original players left here.
I stuck around because the game was always evolving and i saw WIS as a great opportunity for further gameplay
evolution.
Now it`s not coming?
I haven`t quit yet, but i haven`t played in while either.. Frankly i`m a bit bored of locking and shooting at icons and moving on to the next icon.
I`ll wait for the winter expansion and see what you have up your sleeve, but i really do feel that MORE spaceships is NOT what the game needs. Apparantly most people don`t agree.
One question?
What`s the point of Dust 514 if there isn`t going to be any WIS? |

Here's a better example.
In mass effect 2 there is a galaxy map where you get to fly the little ship and pick levels. This could of been done just as easily and more effectively with a menu instead of a little spaceship flying mini game with no content. However for some reason the game designer decided to keep this feature.
For some reason it seems players get more feedback from the space ship than a nice simple menu like in mass effect 1.
See I'm one of the players that loves being bale to fly around the universe, even if it could of been done by selected the planets from a menu. It's more IMMERSIVE for me, and other gamers that share my outlook on games. |

Sadly Mother, the only resolution to the complaint that you have is for CCP to stop listening to player feedback entirely. This Incarna pullout is in no way "feature abandonment" no matter how you want to slice it.
This is players asking for and getting exactly what they deserve.
As long as CCP is beholden to the fickle interests of whatever players want leading up to each expansion, you will see them bounce from feature to feature continuously.
Players demand incarna, players get incarna. Players demand space, players get space. Call it feature abandonment if you want, but CCP would finish a lot more stuff if they didnt do what is popular all the time. |

IMO people wanted "Walking in Stations". AKA bars, gambling, corporation hangers, etc. They did not want a non-customizable 4 by 4 closet that does exactly the same thing as the buttons on the right side. Why on earth would anyone actually use the featureless POS they called Incarna?

CCP should just get rid of the ******* box until they fix WiS 3 years from now. concentrate on making EVE great again and forget about this "we dont want to be left behind so we will sell you pants" BULLSHIT.
I would be much happier if CCP was like **** U INDUSTRY...instead of being little sheep trying to catch up.

I play eve because I can not relate to this humanoid thing they had me make and shows in local all the time.
You know, relating to that thing you see when logging in, checking skills, using any and all chats.
Wish i could change it for a spaceship instead of this face.
