1v1 can be a fun way to pass the time right? Then 10 guards come in and perma tank everything. Whats stopping CCP from just hitting a remote repper with concord. Forget suspect. You get 10 guards linked and on field... Its going to take alot of DPS to break them.
So just concord them. Plain. Simple and perfect. Asking and or accepting a 1v1 is saying i want a fair fight. So again. Concord is what a high sec RR alt should get for repping a 1v1 fight under the duel duel mechanic.
Take it from a pirate.. Eve life is not always fair 1v1's. But pointless to have a duel mechanic if its not really ever a true 1v1.. lol

Its used properly by many many more than its abused by: there fore it works.
Perhaps learn to pick your duals better and perhaps hit scan more often :P

Lol hit your scan in jita.. Or amarr.. It may be somthing not used alot. But a real duel mechanic would not let you do it at all. So nice try and all. But its still a half assed duel mechanic. |

Also how about a duel is automatically canceled if the challenger docks so he can get his Raven out and get his cheap lulz. You must fight in whatever ship you challenged with. |

Want to 1 v 1, there's a LOT of null space with zero people in it, go there.
2 in local and we have a 1 v 1
Anymore than 2 in local and you get whats coming to you for trusting people in eve

That is a bad idea and you should feel bad. Don't duel. Duels in HS are a scam more times than not so don't do it. |

There are plenty of 1v1s to be had. You just have to kill the other 20 guys first. Hell, they're so common that you can get dozens of them in a row.

The point was not at all to make duels fair. It was to give people a "legit" and quick way to fight each other in high sec. Before the duel function was implemented, people dropped cans and stole from them to initiate a duel. It worked, but it was also just a workaround, and since CCP remade the whole empire aggression mechanics thingy anyway, they implemented a legit and straightforward way to initiate combat with another capsuleer. I am certain it was never intended to make eve a space-honourable esports game. |

The goon said "legit" Like a goon knows what that is.. LOL Stop with all the eve is not fair. This is one part of eve and it needs to be fair.
You can say it all day that eve is unfair. But it dose not change that have a 1v1 system that lets other become involved in is still a broken part of the game.
They did alot of things right with this game. and they have done alot wrong. This one is wrong. Just concord people and move on. Easy fix.

What's the saying? If you find yourself in a fair and balanced fight, you've both screwed up.
Offering a duel isn't offering a fair fight, it's offering to agree to tell concord not to bug you while you shoot at each other. Everything else is up to you. If you want a fair fight, work it out with your opponent. If you can't trust him to fight fair then don't. |

And this is how they presented this "fair" dueling feature. It's pretty clear they were quite well aware how it would actually work.
