Rust: I'd like to know - What will people get in return for helping you against the Jove?
Will Stain become a more open region once the Jove are driven out, or will it return to the old pod-strangers-on-sight policy?
If you plan on returning Stain to the old ways (Given the wording of your original post, this looks to be the case) once the Jove are gone, then I say - Good riddens, hope they drive you out.
If you are willing to open up Stain to non-troublemakers, then I'll head down there as soon as I train up the skills for a Blackbird. (I can fly Gallente cruisers already, but I prefer EW, hence am training Caldari skills atm.)

Unless you have had a serious run in with SA, we will let you move freely here while the event is on.
We could have sealed Stain as I see some people thought we would.Instead we will welcome you, and give you the opportunity make your fortune with whatever my fall from the Jovian scum.
We are uncomfortable with so many strangers coming here, so please don't come on our account if you would rather stay away.
Also the Jovians are not messing around, so you will need a good force, tactics, and a lot of luck.

Ok, so let me get this straight.
You're asking us to sacrifice our time, ships, modules and cash to come down and assist you with the jovian threat.
We will be killed by you if we're caught holding any contraband, or mining your asteroids.
If we do come in and destroy a jovian ship, are we really supposed to believe that whatever it drops will be allowed to leave the region?
I can almost guarantee that if I did come and bring my ships and my friends and my gear, and by some fluke I did kill this jovian, and found, say a blueprint, that I would be killed immediately by your people and "relieved" of said "contraband" before I could exit the region.
I'm sorry, I'm not willing to do your dirty work for you at this point in time. While I might like to see the jovians, this is not the time I plan to do it.

What you get out of it, is the chance to get Jovian items. By letting you in we reduce the chance of geting them ourselves.
The Jovians made it clear they did not care if we tried to seal Stain or not (it would then be a three cornered fight). SA decided to call for all to come, and wish you all good luck.
Do understand that many ships will be lost over the next few days - come and take the risk if you want. When the Jovians are destroyed we will expect you to leave, though we will be still offering passes to upstanding Corps.

And you guys who keep saying how you'd like to see Stain Alliance eradicated... think about it, if SA forces alone might be too weak to stop those Jovian rebels what makes you think you --also alone-- will have enough power to stop them, once they're done with Stain and come after you?.. :s

To all entering Stain for the Jovian Event:
This Jovian Event is for the whole of Eve.
In light of that fact, Rust has made an invitation to the whole of Eve so that there will be no secrets or shady dealings.
This is for everyone.
However, as many of you know, SA have strict policies on who and who cannot enter Stain.
If you have a negative rating with SA you will not be welcome.
The full force of SA's might will be present in Stain.
This isn't some half-assed show of force like when RUS attacked.
It will be a full deployment.
We can, and will, take you out if you have a negative standing.
I hope you all have great fun and we all get something out of it.
Let's see if we can get something worthwhile through effort and teamwork (unlike you know who).
I flew down to Stain as soon as I heard of it.
Unfortunately, it's a bit too late for me to do much more than dock and go to bed.
Just like we used to do at Xmas, when we were kids, I'm going to bed straight away so that tomorrow arrives more quickly!

I have no such interest in helping you, because the reward to such an risk.
You ask people to risk their ships and very lives for small rewards:
- A pass to the region only for combat with the jove, not to make profit to refund the losses.
- No better policy after this invasion regarding acces to the region, you could for instance give corporations acces pass afterwards. (atleast). And request them to aid in keeping out pirate forces.
- No promise of leaving the region safe after the event.
Because of this reason i can expect others beeing not willing to aid you in your quest, actually it would be fun if you guys try for yourself.

I know that I'd much rather SA were the only ones involved since the placement of the so-called Jovian bases seems an intent and wilful challenge to the SA, but, since this is deemed an Event, the invitation was made with the intention of getting people involved.
I don't doubt SA will face losses during confrontations with the Jovian traitors, but we're big enough to do the job on our own.
To all,
If you feel you can't risk the losses to Jovians (or the more likely event of being shot at by player pirates) then don't come.
Slightly off topic,
I'm wondering if all of the various Alliances in Eve will receive a visit from Ouria..Venal..now Stain..perhaps Fountain, Placid, and Syndicate will get their own Event?

I arrived in Stain recently, and, looking at the map, I'm wondering why everyone is amassing 15 hops from his location? are they *that* scary?
I'd also like to add - suicide is definitely an option for me, if needs be. This clone got in a barfight, and has had it's legs broken. I'm in a lot of pain right now, but hopefully, I will be able to end the pain with some sort of blaze of glory..
