I like my raven, but ive never flown gallente / amarr types so i cant give an across the board opinion.

Dominix does own, but simply cant break a lot of stuff fast enough. I reckon it comes in second.
Raven is the king of solo BS PvE.

I thought looking at the setups it would have to be the toughest, but then again Im a newbie, so who better to ask then not-newbies.

For non faction BS it is Raven and Apoc. They are about equal. A Apoc or Raven can be pimped out with officer gear and solo lvl 4s or high lvl complexs. The apoc is actually cheaper then the raven to pimp out, and less common for some reason. (it requires higher skills to use)

I agree that Apoc and Raven are pretty close to each other.
BUT as PVE is all about moneymaking, tha Apoc wins as it doesn't need missiles.

For 0.0 ratting, I would say Apoc as you don't need to carry ammo for lasers, but then lasers have a tough time with some hardened npcs, and you need to carry some kinetic or explosive missiles.
For sheer survival and wtfpwnage, I wuld vote for the Raven, every time. Great ship - Superb tank and high DPS which is easily attainable without massive skills.
Can do a variety of damage and has many different set ups.

I allways use a geddon in 0.0
1 med repper 2 cap relays and 5 heatsinks will kill everything before u are in armor.

You don't need to fit launchers. You can use Quad Light Beam II lasers. They are med guns, and do enough dps to rip up crusiers and frigates. They have small laser style tracking, but are a med gun with more dmg.

I prefer the megathron, it kills stuff faster then anything else, just jas less staying power.
Still, nothing it can't do that an apoc or raven can do when it comes to pve. The only pity is the ammo use.

I'd vote Apoc. I can fly both the Apoc and the Raven. The Raven is probably better at level 4 missions (as long as you have your setup geared for them) but the size of it's ammo really gimps it for long runs away from home. The Apoc is far more self contained, and has more choice in terms of setup.

Probably the best non-faction setup BS is the Dom. Shove a large Gist on the Raven however and you have yourself a winner.

O.o... the Apoc is far uglier than the raven...
I mean, its Yellow... It looks like some 5y/o's drawing of a phaser rifle from star-trek.
The Raven isnt pretty, but at least it looks like a spacecraft!!

PvE is a bit vague, dominix can certainly perform most of the PvE stuff very efficiently, ratting, running mission, feeding shield / armor / energy in complexes, mining, not many ship can mine as well and still be able to dispatch BSes spawn in belts.
It's cheap to fit, cheap to buy, you don't need ammos.

Yeah, I have heard from a few people that the Domi can solo mine in 0.0 (would be an interesting setup?)
but I would like to do mission!
