Tempest - Can solo all lvl 4 Angel missions, dont often do missions against the 2 damage type rats cause its a bit easy/dull, cause of all the spare slots i end up with.

Poor little Minmatar... They have their use rat hunting in angel space, with the 100Km warp in and all. But still any BS sized ship out there beats it at PvE tasks, and mining of course...
But what about the Typhoon? Why doesn't anyone... well what would it be good for other then trashing it?
SO my vote would be a Raven as that is the one I can fly the Apoc is at least on par and the Domi is getting there still the domi I think has a little disadvantage over the other two due to their limited range but thats just me...

Pros: All damage types, still have armor if shields get eaten up, Missiles (Missiles)
Cons: Less sustainable tank (in most cases), Ammo :/ takes up much space and money,
Apocalypse
Pros: Possibly the best tank (2 large rep, 3 hardeners), No ammo and adjustable range (though there is crystal changing bug)
Cons: Restricted damage type (EM and Thermal),
Dominix:
Pros: All around good tank and damage,
Cons: Aquired taste for looks (or do Domi pilots try not to look?? ), Drones can be dumb (dont follow command, get stuck on each other)

i love my tempy its poo but it more fun been in structure
i love to pop 6 curises in 6secs from 165km+ away its so cool. and six frigs in one volly is so cool looks like bonfire night. And 2.5million BSspawns dont last long as well from range close up its so poo the autocannons need some love CCP

0.0 apoc if enemy is sansha/blood and to some degree serpentis (if others than raven)
lvl4 raven (apoc could be good against blood/sanshas and to some degree serpentis oponents)
as you see it depends what you fight against, i really dont reccomend apoc against angels , raven could do all damage types so is mors multipurpose but it have big drawback in 0.0: ammo usage, but in agent running its irrelevant and now missles really dont cost much they are 10 times cheaper than year ago (same minerals but batch is 100 not 10)

What sort of fitting do you use for that? Standard T1/2 or are we talking a Gisti heavy ship here?

I run a t1/t2 build, no officer mods etc, dual 650mm auto's are your friend :)

I'd have to say Tempest as well. Probably one of the most hardest ships to get good at in Eve, but
if you put the time & effort in, they are a devastating BS to fly
And armor tanking 2 x 1 mill rats & god knows what else with only one hardner going & reps giving
it what for is an absolute joy

I'd say domi but then I can only fly gallente BS... I just started playing around in missions with it and was totaly suprised how fast 15 T2 heavys can melt the NPC BSs... and with 1 target painter the frigs were gone in seconds
OK, to use 15 drones takes a while but 13 should be plenty for most situations
on top of that it can either shield tank or armor tank (armor for me since I have better skills for that)...
for the armor tank I prefer LAR + 1600 plate instead of 2 LAR since it's not so cap hungry... and you don't need the speed as much as you do in a MT
plus it's much cheaper than any tier 2 BS
there are few things that are anoying:
- drones getting stuck
- drones not obeying you
- drones aggroing all the NPC groups if you are not careful

Im using an armor tanked raven nowadays. Im quite happy with it. Im going to train for ammar BShips though, i will choose then

dominix all the way. so easy to fit its not funny.
6xmedium guns (serps and guristas I use medium rails, Bloods and Sanshas I use beams, Angels I use artys)
5xCap rechargers (fb-10s or better)
2xLarge Rep IIs, 3xRacial hardners, 2xCap Relays
nothing it can't take down. also fun to replace guns with miners and find a tripple spawn to chain while you mine.
after patch when 5 drones will = the 15 the domi now has, and the addition of the highslot drone control mods you can essentially double your drone damage from the current. you'll essentially have 30 of todays drones which will rip any bs apart really fast

Depending on my need, I use:
Dom - Best all rounder.. Gank and tank.
Megathron - It all dies before it even gets close to you.
Raven - I run a 2 x LAR, 2 x Hardner armor tank on the raven.. Runs 23/7, superb tank.

The highslot drone mods effect range iirc, low slots = damage, and med = tracking. Unless theres a super sikrit other drone module :P

Well, apparently there's also
Drone Control Unit I
Gives you one extra drone. You can only activate 5 modules at the same time.
(high slot, 75 cpu, 5 mw, needs Drone Interfacing 4)
... so it'd seem ships can actually have up to 10 drones launched at once, as long as they have enough cpu and give up some high slots o.O

All things being equal skill wise :
Level 4 missions : Raven Hands down, Machariel, Navy Issue Apoc, tempest, Typhoon ( dont do missions myself but I wingman sometimes for kicks and giggles and Never once am I needed if the first two ships are used. )
0.0 hunting : Machariel, Raven, Tempest, Apoc, dominix
After RMR 0.0 : Raven, Machariel, Tempest, Apoc

best ship to use for pve is the ship you have the most skill points for and also what npc`s you are fighting.
raven should be used agasint gurista`s, serps and angels, sheild tank 4tw
apoc/geddon for dispensing with sanchas and bloods
but its whatever floats your boat, i like to use my tempest and phoon for doing my missions, but it depends on what mission you are doing to what ship i use,
for general npc`ing i would vote the raven to be the more user freindly
