I'm not sure CCP can fix this problem because I don't think the problem rests with Eve client. The problem seems to be Cider.
The only way CCP can fix this issue is to give us a proper OpenGL client and that's not going to happen too quickly due to that requiring a lot of rewriting graphics code from DirectX to OpenGL.
One day maybe but not any time too soon. |

Hey guys,
I was having a similar problem on Linux for a while. Since an upgrade of AMD graphic card drivers (fglrx) from version 9 to 12.104 caused a blank screen to appear when starting Eve through Wine.
I was able to fix the corrupted icons by downgrading my video card drivers to version 8.960. Upon downgrading, I discovered that some icons began working again. After clearing my cache, all the icons once again worked!
Here's my Linux post on this issue: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3591065
My suggestion is to try to update your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, then maybe try downgrading your video card drivers. I hope this gives a hint to the Eve developers and their Mac OS X partners about what may be causing problems. I also thus suggest that you guys post which graphic card drivers versions you are using that are causing this issue. Then if you manage to find a version that works, also post that to this thread. Good luck. |

Easier said than done. AMD doesn't supply Mac OS X drivers for their cards, at least for the consumer Macs. |

Kinda disheartening that we haven't even heard from CCP in.. quite a while. Has anyone opened a ticket recently and found out anything else? |

Mac support? What's that... I'm still awaiting responses to bug reports I filed 6+ months ago... I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

Hey CCP - it may not mean much to you but please remember that WE PAY to play this game... at least do us the courtesy of acknowledging us. It has been a very long time since any information was forthcoming on what is happening with this issue and whilst it may seem like a minor problem to you, to me it spoils my gameplay!
If you are working on the problem but haven't fixed it yet - please say so! If you cannot fix the problem - please say so! If you don't care about the problem - please say so (and not by simply saying nothing!) so that I can consider whether I want to continue to pay you to provide a service that you are not managing to provide to the level that you promised!
CCP - please RESPECT your patrons! |

Just confirming that: 1. This issue is still prevalent in Odyssey 1.1x 2. The extent of icon corruption has expanded significantly 3. The severity of icon corruption has worsened (most are completely unrecognizable) I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

This is still a problem, and becoming increasingly more frustrating.
It says to call in the title but I can't find a phone number anywhere. |

Got the problem too.
It appears as if the icons are some sort of amalgamation of Desktop Screen hash.
One of my icons appears as an upside-down "Calendar" app from my desktop. |

Still ongoing, when are we going to see a fix for this? Also, this may be related but if I switch resolutions from fullscreen 1920 x 1080 to something lower in windowed mode the screen freezes and I get the same mishmash of garbage across the screen, then EvE quits and I get an exception error. |

Edited to add the exception error: "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000140c at address 0x761c7494 Do you wish to debug?" Debug does nothing
I'm assuming it's a memory error within the video memory, I've done a full mem test and apple diagnostics with no indication of an issue with my hardware. This happened to me today. I got a new monitor with high res and was adjusting eve to fit the screen in windowed mode. It did exactly as you said. the screen froze and I got a mash of garbage. Then, Eve gave me the error message and quit. |

I have had this problems for months now. It's been worse and still no reply from CCP here for what is going on.
Is this what support we get? They tell us the issue then never fix it? |

If you do get corrupted icons on the sisi build, report it in one of the sisi threads in features and ideas, as Devs seem to be responding to issues in those threads. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Almost all of the icons are corrupted for me (non-existent in combat logs). Do we pin our hopes on Rubicon? I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week. |

Still having this problem, it appears that some of the icons are pulling in scrambled images from my desktop imagery. Would love for this to be fixed as we can't tell what our ships and modules are anymore |
