As you can see in this video Black Legion and Pizza Alliance uses and exploit to launch a bomb after bridging in to keep the bomb from flying the required 30 kilometers and all the while maintaining an invulnerability timer. So technically it is two exploits at once.
I would like to know if this is an exploit or not because if not, I want to make sure everyone else is allowed to activate a bomb module, kill people and never be in any danger of being shot at. |

Even at worst this is the kind of thing, that you're ok to do until CCP either says otherwise or patches things up. Certainly nothing I'd hesitate to do, if I was given the chance. |

CCP have known about this for over 6 months it's not new at all :p
they have actually tried to fix it before iirc
It wasn't declared an exploit then so chances of it being declared an exploit now is slim to none.

you know that shooting the bomb breaks invulnerability for the bombers that fired it right?
also this is possible after a gate jump, just they would have to wait to decloak and then fire there bombs to maintain zero speed on the bombs.
working as intended is my view, just a little surprised no one came up with this before OMG when can i get a pic here

Aha. Good one.
how is it not working as intended?
jump immunity is something every ship gets until it does something to break that
bombs don't travel if the ship is at zero speed
I don't see how this is anything but a new valid tactic. but please explain it to me OMG when can i get a pic here

more like people run to the forums to cry about losing a ship. you can see a fine example of this tactic in the OP.

No exploit in my (ignorant) opinion. To reiterate other posters:
All ships have invuln for 60secs after a session change.
That ends when a bomb is dropped.
Static bombers produce static bombs.

Yes, but the direction in which that velocity is applied is determined by the direction the launching ship is travelling in. If the ship hasn't yet moved, there's no information on direction for the server to apply to that bomb. Titans were never meant to be "cost effective", its a huge ****.-á- CCP Oveur, 2006

The whole 'no velocity on bombs' doesn't really bother me. What does concern me is after a ship bridges in it is NEVER invulnerable, yet a lot of people are reporting that bomber who do bridge in and immediately launch a bomb triggers a glitch to cause the same invulnerability timer as if you jumped through a gate. I'm pretty sure that is not 'working as intended', but that is CCPs call to make. . |

It's just that travelling 30km along the vector [0,0,0] doesn't do much. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

Seems logical to me, I've never had a cloak to hold after coming out of a bridge, I don't see why I'd have a 30 second immunity timer coming through a bridge as well. |

You don't have a cloak when undocking either, but you still have a timer. The two are not connected and serve rather different purposes. Alright, that makes sense. I have no experience to relate to that might verify that personally. I've never been in the presence of hostiles on the end of a titan bridge yet. |

You're ********, you get invuln timer when you bridge in and it expires as soon as you do something. |

Well this is Marlona "don't know aggression mechanics*" Sky, so you really shouldn't listen to him
The zero velocity thing is pretty clunky, but you can't fix it without requiring that ships first move before launching, and I think that's likely hard to code on-top of the existing mechanics, as well as rather unnecessary.

pretty sure launching the bomb causes invuln to drop, so the only issue left is that the bomb is stationary
which seems pretty minor to me |
