A while back, the server hardware went through some upgrades and all the equipment was labelled. As it turns out, one of the Tranquility gateway routers was labelled incorrectly. During a hardware swap this evening, the mislabelled TQ gateway router was pulled. Needless to say, mayhem broke loose in London and in Iceland as TQ disappeared from the internet. It took only a few moments to notice and reinstall the card, but by then, the damage had already been done. The equipment has been relabelled and verified, so the chances of this happening again are slim. We are investigating who labelled the equipment for a flogging with a wet noodle. Not sure whether we want to use spaghetti or lasagne noodles though. Apologies about the lost connectivity caused by this. Losses will be reimbursed pending verification, so don't try to petition a loss of a faction battleship when you were flying around in a shuttle. Markie	Posted - 2005.12.02 18:11:00 - [39] I lost a raven because of it and CCP said they have no logs of a server crash at the time my ship was killed. OFC there is no log of a server crash when I lost my ship, I was not online at the time the server crashed!!! it was when I logged on later and warped into a hostile fleet on the gate where I crashed earler. I do wonder some times why we pay for this.
