Hello
I have recently joined EVE after two yeas of SWG for reasons well known to people playing SWG and i would like to comment that the behavior of people in these forums is soooooooo much mature than the flamefest of SWG forums, which ends up to be a bit boring :) . I find it strange to read posts without swaring and name calling but anyway I will get use to it at the end.
Anyway how many exiles from SWG are here?

The eve forums are just as bad in a different way.
It's either the too smart for their own good types just bickering over pointless sh** with each other each sounding more egotistical than the last.
Then there's the ones who think having some amount of status in an online game means they can talk down to every other player of the game, except for their select group of elitest friends.
Then there's the incredibly annoying 'thinking they're hilarious' types who just make the same stupid jokes at each other, often involving 1337 speak or internet slang, usually they're pirates in the game. The post by Hellraiza666 above is a perfect example of what constitutes 80% of the posts on this forum.

The radical canges to SWG have been mentioned on here, and I suspect that more than one person is jumping ship now. The Eve community is generally more mature but there are exceptions...check the "Ships & Modules" forum for an eye opener

I haven't played the game so don't know specifics, but apparently they've remade the entire game into a 3D Diablo II, scrapped most character classes (including ones which were introduced/boosted by some recent paid-for expansion, two weeks after it went on sale) and made it so people can be Jedi from the start. Don't know how that affects the game's balance but I can't imagine it'll be very pretty. Do you think if we pester the Devs enough they'll give us lightsabres? |

If it weren't for all you people, I would have never have been able to do this.

the real mature community could be found on EVE-i forum
unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore
