Here if anyone wants.
Mining Barges Battle Cruisers Carriers Recon Cruisers Interdictors Titans
Images are quite large, about 1.7mb each.
Obviously keep in mind all stats are temporary. I'm sure though CCP will appreciate constructive feedback from those who have not made a second game copy to log onto the test server.
Aeon 1 4.93mb Aeon 2 3.14mb Templar 13.7mb
Sorry for the bad fraps quality, I'm no expert moviemaker, but these will give you a look at how cool fighters are and how ugly the Aeon is. Also, sorry about the silly music. -omg-

the aeon looks real nice. And the fighters!!!! man I wish frigies looked that amazing and with nice little details like the fighter had. Those little manuvering jet bursts remind me of battlestar galactica. Perhaps this is what we can expect should CCP ever overhaul it's engine?

"Perhaps this is what we can expect should CCP ever overhaul it's engine?"
Well, the engine apparently already supports that effect, so it's more the case of overhauling the original game models, to give them these thruster 'hardpoints' and whatnot? ^^;
(btw, shield tanked Amarr carrier, omg o.o;

Yes, I suppose that's right. I would greatly enjoy a "do over" in terms of ship textures at the very least. It would be nice if each race had more ships introduced in existing classes to allow people to chose on asthetics every now and then. Speaking of, lovely sig Lady J.

You could always go with 8-bit png. Yes the mini images won't looks as good with reduced colors but does that really matter? Doing so will cut the images down to 5-600k

Nice images, shame Khanid made the Amarria Interdictor. On another note is there something wrong with the Sabre? the description says "favour electronics and defense over 'lots of guns'approach" yet it has the most turrets of all the interdictors and bonus's for the turrets.

If you read the RMR description ( http://www.eve-online.com/features/redmoonrising/detail.asp ) carefully, you can see that apparently there is a kamikaze (as in no pod) pilot in each fighter, indeed --

Oh, perhaps the most evil thing about fighters is that, if you warp off while being shot at by them, they FOLLOW YOU into warp and kick your ass when you come out on the other side. I watched this happen to some poor guy in an apoc, and then later to someone in a munin.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to add that I asked Nebulai if that was actually what was happening, and he confirmed it. -Wrayeth

Has anyone figured out already how exactly the ship refitting on carriers/motherships is gonna work?
Like.. do they only have a 'ship maintenance array', where you can change fittings, but you have to bring the modules yourself?
Or do they also have something like a corp hangar array to store modules and small ships? If they do.. how much space does it have?

Not really, but while being blown up by an Erebus yesterday on SiSi, I right clicked the ship and the following options are in the context menu:
open ship maintenance bay open corporate hangars
So I guess that you can refit just like in a station. Unless the damn thing keeps blowing your tanked Apoc to hell with its doomsday device...

Like a POS. Which BTW is being fixed so onlining modules doesent chew your cap when youre near a manteinance array (or carrier/titan).
And even if that werent being fixed, carriers can run XL cap transfer modules. ------------- Where are the named 800mm Plates and Mega Ions, CCP?

I hope CCP is going to put some more work into the mining barges. Personally, just adding some cargo, resists and a couple of extra mid/low slots doesn't exactly light my fire.
The community has had many, many good ideas to make T2 barges exciting (or as exciting as any mining ship can be ).

umm.. don't mean to burst your bubble, but...
GIF of this image where all the text is readable and the images are decent is 1.2mb JPEG of this image where all text is readable is as low as 750kb. JPEG2000 of this image where everything looks great is as low as 475kb (JPEG200, allows you to specify sections to look better, like 1 of the thumbnails per ship)
Guess it depends on the program you use. I use adobe Photoshop elements.

Hmm. Ok, instead of making a new topic, I'll drop the question in here:
RMR features page info has:- Number of new ships: 39 Number of new T2 ships: 23 Thus number of new T1 ships: 16
T2 ships:- Interdictors x4 Command Ships x8 Recon Ships x8 Minin Barges x3 Total: 23
T1 ships:- Titans x4 Carriers x4 Motherships x4 Total: 12
That means there's a ship type I am missing (one ship per race), can anyone fill me in?
Apparently, when there's new patch notes I sound like I'm 4 years old on christmas EVE on TS. |

And the minm one with a 60% bonus to webber range and a target painting bonus AND a projectile bonus too. So with a 90% webber say the 15km Domi one you could webb someone from 157km to 90% and target paint it too. wow.

They're definitely going to change the face of combat.
For the better, I think. More tactical options = less 'standard' setups = more fun!
Imagine flying a Blasterthron knowing that there are 150km range webbers out there.
Imagine flying an Inty knowing that you can be painted up to the size of a battleship.
Imagine flying an Apoc with 8x Turrets knowing that you can be tracking disrupted so much you cant hit a PoS :P
Flying without friends, or flying with one dimensional setups ("gank or tank") is rapidly looking like a bad idea.

Am I the only one finding it incredibly hilarious that the Gallente Combat Recon, Lachesis, was made by Roden Shipyards?
"Unlike most Gallente ship manufacturers, Roden Shipyards tends to favor missiles over drones and their ships generally possess stronger armor. Their electronics however tend to be weaker than that of their competitors"
Every other Roden ship has no more than 2 med slots, and still they get to design the advanced EW-ship. If it sucks, there is no doubt why, even though it has 7 med slots. Kinda like how they DIDN'T get to design the Nemesis stealth bomber, the one kind of specialized ship that favors missiles.
Don't get me wrong, I really like Roden ships, but this is just silly.

60% per level bonus to web range.... plus painter, that would make every fleet happy...
k, and too see if it can get out to 150, assuming you are using a 15km base range from a named unit...
so is it 15*1.6*5?

60% per level I assumed is 15km x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 = 157km, this is how damage mod is worked out ie 5% EXTRA damage PER level.

60% bonus per level, so level 1 skill leads to a 60% bonus. level 2 gives 120% bonus. level 3 gives 180%.
at maxed skills with a 15km web you get 15+(60%x5) = 15+(300%) = 60Km.
this is the same for any "per level" ship bonus.
apply your method of bonus calculation to a Ferox's shield and see what crazy results you get.

Is it just me or does the curse look overpowered at first glance? I mean 5 nos running at 200% efficiency (equivalent of 10 nos) with extended range, plus a full rack of large drones for those pesky battleships and an additional 5 small ones for any smaller ships that come along trying to spoil your fun (oh, and all these drones get drone carrier bonuses... too bad gallente, there's a new dronemeister in town). 6 mid-slots for all of your drone mod needs is going to make this THE 1 on 1 ship.
Better grid, cpu, speed sig radius, sig resolution than a deimos. Granted, it's got 1000 cap compared to the deimos 1100, but with 10 nos I don't think cap will be a problem =D. 3 med reps ftw!
I might have to start training amarr and abandon gallente completely. This baby looks absolutely scrumptious! ------------------------------------------------ Swedes rule, too bad I'm intaki. |

Edited by: Feta Solamnia on 07/12/2005 15:09:59 I believe the t2 covetor skill requirements are over-the-board. Covetor is from 50% better at mining than the med barge, and 200% better than the small one. Now, in order to fly the t2 covetor you need the specialization skill @5 which means: There is no point in training for t2 barges other than the t2 covetor because in order to get the specialization skill you need barge5 and the covetor seems to be much better in mining that the t2 small/med barge (I assume there are t2 versions of all the barges).
So in effect, it's either skill to lvl5 or none at all. Other t2 barges are useless and there skill investment for the t2 covetor is too much (I don't think I've seen a t2 module/ship ever needing a t2skill/specialization at lvl5 to be operated).
EDIT: hmm, is barge 5 really a prerequisite for elite barge or not?

Looks like the lanchesis finally gives gallente a cool EW ship, and the scramble bonus looks interesting. Bonuses to hybrids AND missile ROF with a 3/3 hardpoint 5 high slot setup though? What were they smoking? ------------------------------------------------ Swedes rule, too bad I'm intaki. |

for those wondering about want the new ships are here is a list and it is all 39.
4x titans 8x recon cruisers (4x force recon and 4x combat recon) 8x command ships 8x carriers (4 called "Carriers" and 4 called "Motherships") 4x interdictors 3x tech 2 barges (called exhumers) 4x fighters (they are too big to be just called extra drones)
that makes 39. if you want to get it from the horses mouth, see the interview at the budding replacement for eve-i called EVEnews HERE

With the webber bonus at 60% i highly doubt that CCP would have introduced such a destabilizing item, I beleive it will be 60% flat, which still gives you 16 KM minimum range on Webs, even a arty min ship with that ability wil pwn intys using 90% webs. 120km is just ridiculous on so many levels. With one of the extreme named webs, range should be approx 25-30km

Feta, yes it requires the normal barges at lvl5 to train for the t2 ones
btw who wants to calculate the webber range when you also have at your gang a t2 minnie BC (the logistic one) with max skills and with a midlink implant

Tracking disrupting bonus with a drone bonus and a nos bonus too? Sounds like an Ishtar with bonuses to make it even better.
And the minm one with a 60% bonus to webber range and a target painting bonus AND a projectile bonus too. So with a 90% webber say the 15km Domi one you could webb someone from 157km to 90% and target paint it too. wow.
G.
How the hell does a 300% bonus to 15km give you 157km... Shesh go back to school

"so is it 15*1.6*5?"
Nah; more likely it's:
15 km * ( 1 + ( 0.6 * 5 )) = 60 km
(which is still nuts, anyway... :s
Well, A minmatar and Gallente Recon could web and disrupt at 60km (don't remember the bonus for the laywhatever the name is)...
Not that nuts when this thing can nos you at 37.5km with a med nos II, if he fits corpum... ouch.............
60% per level I assumed is 15km x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.6 = 157km, this is how damage mod is worked out ie 5% EXTRA damage PER level.
With the skill at level 5 u get 300% bonus or 3*webber range
In this case: 3x15km = 45km webber range.
